Abstract

A tooth whitening substance formed into a thin layer is provided. The tooth whitening substance includes a polyox resin and a tooth whitening active. The polyox resin adheres the thin layer to a plurality of teeth for a sufficient time to allow the tooth whitening active to act upon the plurality of teeth.

1 . A method of bleaching a plurality of teeth, the teeth having facial, lingual, and incisal surfaces, comprising: 
 a) adhesively attaching a tooth bleaching product comprising a flexible film or barrier and a tooth bleaching composition to the facial and lingual surfaces of a plurality of teeth, wherein the tooth bleaching composition comprises a tooth bleaching agent, a thickening agent, and water;    b) conforming the tooth bleaching product to the facial and lingual surfaces of the plurality of teeth;    c) repeating steps (a) and (b), wherein each repetition utilizes a fresh tooth bleaching product; and    wherein the tooth bleaching product is almost unnoticeable when worn, and wherein the tooth bleaching product has a thickness of less than about 1 mm.
