Abstract

A method of pumping an oilfield fluid from a well surface to a wellbore is provided that includes providing one or more horizontal pumps to an oilfield; and operating the one or more horizontal pumps to pump the oilfield fluid from the well surface to the wellbore.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. A method of pumping an oilfield fluid from a well surface to a wellbore during an oilfield operation, the method comprising:
providing one or more horizontal pumps to an oilfield; and operating said one or more horizontal pumps to pump the oilfield fluid from the well surface to the wellbore.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps is a multistage centrifugal pump.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps is a progressing cavity pump.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more horizontal pumps comprise any combination of one or more multistage centrifugal pumps and one or more progressing cavity pumps.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps comprises a prime mover for supplying power, and wherein the prime mover is chosen from the group consisting of a diesel engine, a gas turbine, a steam turbine, an AC electric motor, and a DC electric motor.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps comprises a prime mover for supplying power that is capable of supplying at least 3500 brake horsepower.

. The method of claim 6 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps is capable of supplying at least 2450 hydraulic horsepower to the oilfield fluid.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps comprises a prime mover for supplying power that is capable of supplying a brake horsepower in a range of 2250 to 13,000 brake horsepower.

. The method of claim 8 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps is capable of supplying a hydraulic horsepower to the oilfield fluid in a range of about 1525 to about 9100 hydraulic horsepower.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more horizontal pumps are disposed remotely from the wellbore.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the oilfield fluid is a fracturing fluid comprising a proppant.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the oilfield fluid comprises a solid material, wherein said solid material is one of a particle, a fiber and a material having a manufactured shape.

. A pump system for pumping an oilfield fluid from a well surface to a wellbore comprising:
one or more trailers; and one or more horizontal pumps, wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps is disposed on a corresponding one of the one more trailers and wherein each of the one of more horizontal pumps is operated to pump the oilfield fluid from the well surface to the wellbore.

. The pump system of claim 13 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps is a multistage centrifugal pump.

. The pump system of claim 13 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps is a progressing cavity pump.

. The pump system of claim 13 , wherein the one or more horizontal pumps comprise any combination of one or more multistage centrifugal pumps and one or more progressing cavity pumps.

. The pump system of claim 13 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps comprises a prime mover for supplying power, and wherein the prime mover is chosen from the group consisting of a diesel engine, a gas turbine, a steam turbine, an AC electric motor, and a DC electric motor.

. The pump system of claim 13 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps comprises a prime mover for supplying power that is capable of supplying at least 3500 brake horsepower.

. The pump system of claim 18 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps is capable of supplying at least 2450 hydraulic horsepower to the oilfield fluid.

. The pump system of claim 13 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps comprises a prime mover for supplying power that is capable of supplying a brake horsepower in a range of 2250 to 13,000 brake horsepower.

. The pump system of claim 20 , wherein each of the one or more horizontal pumps is capable of supplying a hydraulic horsepower to the oilfield fluid in a range of about 1575 to about 9100 hydraulic horsepower.

. The pump system of claim 13 , wherein the one or more horizontal pumps are disposed remotely from the wellbore.

. The pump system of claim 13 , wherein the oilfield fluid is a fracturing fluid comprising a proppant.

. The pump system of claim 13 , wherein the oilfield fluid comprises a solid material, wherein said solid material is one of a particle, a fiber and a material having a manufactured shape.
