Abstract

An audio rack body has a trench that extends along the length of the audio rack body and supports plural audio apparatuses at optional positions. Each of the audio apparatuses has an apparatus-side connector with one or more common terminals and one or more signal terminates. A rack-side connector is installed along the trench. The rack-side connector has terminals corresponding to the common terminals and the signal terminals of the apparatus-side connectors of the audio apparatuses. A controller is electrically connected to the rack-side connector. When an audio apparatus is inserted in the trench, the apparatus-side connector of the audio apparatus is electrically connected to the rack-side connector.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 8 . (canceled)

9 . An audio rack that is configured to support and electrically connect a plurality of audio apparatuses, each audio apparatus having an apparatus-side connector including at least one common terminal, which is common to all the audio apparatuses, and at least one signal terminal, which is exclusive to individual audio apparatuses, the audio rack comprising:
an audio rack body having an elongated supporting unit configured to support the audio apparatuses at optional positions; a rack-side connector installed along a longitudinal direction of the elongated supporting unit, the rack-side connector having a plurality of terminals corresponding to the common terminal and the signal terminal of the apparatus-side connector of the audio apparatuses, and allowing connection of the apparatus-side connectors at optional positions; and a controller that is electrically connected to the rack-side connector, and configured to control an audio apparatus when an apparatus-side connector of the audio apparatus is connected to the rack-side connector.

10 . The audio rack according to claim 9 , wherein the elongated supporting unit is configured to enable the audio apparatuses to be moved continuously.

11 . The audio rack according to claim 9 , wherein the rack-side connector includes a power supply terminal corresponding to the common terminal of the audio apparatus, and supplies power to the audio apparatuses via the power supply terminal and the common terminal.

12 . The audio rack according to claim 9 , wherein the audio rack body is a plate-shaped audio rack body disposed on a floor, and the elongated supporting unit is a trench provided on the plate-shaped audio rack body.

13 . The audio rack according to claim 9 , wherein the audio rack body is a pole fitted on a wall, and the pole constitutes the elongated supporting unit.

14 . The audio rack according to claim 9 , wherein the audio rack body is a rail fitted on a wall, and the rail constitutes the elongated supporting unit.

15 . The audio rack according to claim 9 , wherein the audio rack body is a board fitted on a wall, the elongated supporting unit is a trench formed on the board, and the trench has a wide part in the bottom.

16 . The audio rack according to claim 9 , wherein the audio rack body is a rack having a bottom plate and a ceiling plate, and the bottom plate and the ceiling plate constitute the elongated supporting unit.
