Abstract
Topic-centric-media sharing allows a user to search for and share media objects related to a topic. The user can associate media objects with other sets of media objects related to the topic. Subscription software can be configured to locate possible sets of media objects of interest to the user. The subscription software can also be configured to register the user to automatically receive media objects associated with various sets. Once registered, the media objects in the set can automatically be distributed to the user, including new media objects when they are associated with the set.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A computer-implemented method for receiving one or more media objects comprising:
registering the user to receive one or more media objects associated with one or more sets of media objects related to a topic; receiving the one or more media objects; upon addition of a new media object to the one or more sets of media objects, receiving the new media object.
2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising polling for the new media object.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
utilizing one or more parameters of at least one media object selected by the user to search for the one or more sets; and based on the search, notifying the user of the one or more sets.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the one or more parameters include at least one of a time indication or a location indication.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the one or more parameters include at least one of a tag or a keyword.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more media objects include one or more audio files, images, or videos.
7 . One or more computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions for performing the method recited in claim 1 .
8 . A computer-implemented method for distributing one or more media objects to a user at a client computing device, comprising:
receiving a request to register the user to receive media objects associated with one or more sets of media objects related to a topic; registering the user to receive the one or more sets; and transmitting the one or more media objects to the client computing device; and upon addition of a new media object to the one or more sets of media objects, transmitting the new media object to the client computing device.
9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more media objects and the new media object are transmitted to the client computing device via one of a push, pull, or push-pull method.
10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , further comprising registering the user with a service, wherein the service registers the user to receive media objects related to the topic from a plurality of sets.
11 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , further comprising:
utilizing one or more parameters of at least one media object selected by the user to search for the one or more sets; and based on the search, notifying the user of the one or more sets.
12 . The computer-implemented method of claim 11 , wherein the one or more parameters include at least a time indication or a location indication.
13 . The computer-implemented method of claim 11 , wherein the one or more parameters include at least a tag or a keyword.
14 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more media objects include one or more audio files, images, or videos.
15 . One or more computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions for performing the method recited in claim 8 .
16 . One or more computer-readable media having computer-executable modules for registering a user to receive at least one media object from a set of one or more media objects related to a topic, comprising:
a set-locator module configured to search for the one or more sets; and a registration module configured to register the user to receive the one or more sets.
17 . The computer-readable media of claim 16 , wherein the set-locator module is further configured to compare one or more parameters of a media object selected by the user with one or more parameters of the one or more sets.
18 . The computer-readable media of claim 17 , wherein the one or more parameters of the media object and the one or more sets include at least one of a time indication or a location indication.
19 . The computer-readable media of claim 17 , wherein the one or more parameters of the one or more sets includes a range a parameter range corresponding to a parameter of the one or more media objects within the set.
20 . The computer-readable media of claim 16 , further comprising a presentation module configured to notify the user of the one or more sets.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
