Abstract

A portable device with a sliding variable built-in antenna is provided including a main body, a variable built-in antenna which is assembled at a predetermined location of the main body and configured to slide up/down with respect to the main body according to an antenna reception sensitivity, and an electrical connection device for signal transmission between the main body and the variable built-in antenna.

1 . An electrical connection device of a portable device for signal transmission between a main body and a variable built-in antenna which is configured to slide up/down with respect to the main body, comprising: 
 a fixed printed circuit board (PCB) mounted on the main body;    a mobile antenna PCB mounted on the variable built-in antenna; and    a connection device which transmits signals by connecting an end to the fixed PCB and connecting an end to the mobile antenna PCB, wherein a length of the connection device varies according to a sliding movement of the mobile antenna PCB.    
     
     
         2 . The electrical connection device of  claim 1 , wherein the connection device is comprised of a wire cable.  
     
     
         3 . The electrical connection device of  claim 1 , wherein the connection device is formed in a spiral shape to allow a variation in its length.  
     
     
         4 . An electrical connection device of a portable device, comprising: 
 a fixed printed circuit board (PCB);    a mobile PCB; and    a helical wire cable, wherein an end of which is fixed and electrically connected to the fixed PCB and an end of which is fixed and electrically connected to the mobile PCB, the helical wire cable being assembled along a moving direction of the mobile PCB so that a length thereof is variable.    
     
     
         5 . An electrical connection device of a portable device for signal transmission between a main body and a variable built-in antenna which is configured to slide up/down with respect to the main body, comprising: 
 a fixed printed circuit board (PCB) mounted on the main body;    a mobile antenna PCB mounted on the variable built-in antenna; and    a connection device, wherein a free end of which is slidably connected to the fixed PCB and an end of which is connected to the mobile antenna PCB for signal transmission, wherein the free end slidingly contacts the fixed PCB during a sliding movement of the mobile antenna PCB.    
     
     
         6 . The electrical connection device of  claim 5 , wherein the connection device further comprises: 
 a power feeding terminal, wherein the power feeding terminal is formed to have elasticity, and wherein the free end maintains substantially constant contact with the fixed PCB regardless of the sliding movement of the mobile antenna PCB.    
     
     
         7 . The electrical connection device of  claim 6 , wherein the power feeding terminal comprises: 
 a fixed end electrically connected to the mobile antenna PCB;    the free end having a sliding bending portion which is provided in a shape bent more than once and maintains a substantially constant electrical connection with the fixed PCB by elastic power; and    an intermediate portion which electrically connects the fixed end with the free end so as to have tension.    
     
     
         8 . The electrical connection device of  claim 7 , wherein the fixed end comprises a bending portion which is tapered to reinforce an elasticity of the free end.  
     
     
         9 . An electrical connection device of a portable device comprising: 
 a fixed printed circuit board (PCB);    a mobile PCB which is slidingly guided on the fixed PCB; and    a connection terminal, wherein a free end of which is slidably connected to the fixed PCB and an end is connected to the mobile PCB, which is assembled along a moving direction of the mobile PCB.    
     
     
         10 . An antenna unit of a portable device, which is comprised of a main body and a sliding housing for sliding up/down on the main body along a longitudinal direction of the main body, comprising: 
 a first antenna flexible printed circuit (FPC) mounted on an inside surface of the sliding housing; and    a second antenna FPC which elastically responds to the sliding of the sliding housing and electrically connects the first antenna FPC to the main body.    
     
     
         11 . The antenna unit of  claim 10 , wherein one surface of the first antenna FPC is attached to an inside surface of the sliding housing.  
     
     
         12 . The antenna unit of  claim 10 , wherein the second antenna FPC is linearly extendable.  
     
     
         13 . The antenna unit of  claim 10 , wherein the second antenna FPC is bent in response to the sliding of the sliding housing.  
     
     
         14 . The antenna unit of  claim 10 , wherein a free end of the second antenna FPC is configured to be plugged in and unplugged from a plug connector assembled with a main printed circuit board (PCB) of the main body and is further configured to be locked in and unlocked from the plug connector using a rotatable cover.
