Push type scanner apparatus and image data transmitting and receiving system
Abstract
A push type scanner apparatus according to the present invention can transmit image data read by the push type scanner apparatus through a network to a desired personal computer only by operating the push type scanner apparatus without transmitting any operation command from the personal computer. In the push type scanner apparatus, for transmitting image data, a destination address is specified; a mail to be transmitted to the specified destination address is created; an appended file comprising the image data read by the scanner apparatus and appended to the mail is created; and the created mail and appended file are outputted to the network.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 15 . (canceled)
16 . A push type scanner apparatus capable of transmitting image data through a network comprising:
an original reading section for reading image data of an original set in the push type scanner apparatus; an image memory for storing the image data read by the original reading section; an operating section for selecting an e-mail address designating a destination for transmitting the image data through the network; a memory storing a destination limiting list including a domain name to prevent transmission of the image data to e-mail addresses having the domain name; and a control section for creating an appendable file from the image data, the control section appending the appendable file to an e-mail to be transmitted to the e-mail address selected by the operating section, wherein the control section compares a domain name of the destination e-mail address with domain names stored in the destination limiting list, and prevents transmission of the e-mail if the domain name of the destination address coincides with a domain name in the destination limiting list.
17 . A push type scanner apparatus as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the destination limiting list is capable of writing a domain name that includes a wild card.
18 . A push type scanner apparatus as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the control section causes the operating section to indicate that the image data cannot be transmitted to the destination address, when the domain name of the destination address coincides with a domain name in the destination limiting list.
19 . A push type scanner apparatus as claimed in claim 18 , wherein the control section further causes the operating section to indicate that the destination address can be changed.
20 . A push type scanner apparatus as claimed in claim 16 , further comprising:
a network connecting interface for connecting the push type scanner apparatus to the network, wherein the control section outputs the e-mail and the appendable file through the network connecting interface to the network.
21 . A push type scanner apparatus as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the operating section enters an address by enter keys.
22 . A push type scanner apparatus as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the operating section selects a desired address from a plurality of addresses preliminarily stored in an address memory.
23 . A push type scanner apparatus as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the control section creates the appendable file comprising the image data of the original read by the original reading section, after the operating section selects the address.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
