Abstract
Decorative elements and decorative grass provided with a substantially flat configuration which, upon activation, can assume a curled or crimped configuration, preferably at the point of sale or point of use, as well as methods for producing the same.
Claims

A method for providing curled or crimped decorative grass, comprising: providing a first sheet or web of material having a substantially flat configuration, the first sheet or web of material having an upper surface and a lower surface; providing a second sheet or web of material having an upper surface and a lower surface, the second sheet or web of material formed of a material which contracts upon activation; laminating the lower surface of the first sheet or web of material to the upper surface of the second sheet or web of material to form a sheet or web of laminated material; applying pressure to an attach point on the sheet of material to maintain the sheet of material in a substantially flat configuration; and, cutting the sheet or web of laminated material into strips to form strands of decorative grass having a substantially flat configuration which can assume a curled or crimped configuration upon activation.
