Package for wipes

Abstract

A package for carrying and dispensing wipes is described. The package has a wallet-like configuration and includes a first compartment separated from a second compartment along a foldable seam. The package can be configured to carry any suitable wipes including facial tissue, bath tissue, and any suitable pre-moistened wipes.

1 . A package for carrying consumable products comprising: 
 a first compartment containing a first product, the first compartment having a length and a width and defining an inner surface and an outer surface;    a second compartment containing a second product, the second compartment having a length and a width that are substantially similar to the length and width of the first compartment, the second compartment also defining an inner surface and an outer surface;    wherein the first compartment is connected to the second compartment along a seam and is foldable onto the second compartment about the seam, and wherein, when in a folded configuration, the inner surface of the first compartment faces the inner surface of the second compartment; and    wherein at least one compartment includes an open end for withdrawing products therethrough, the open end being accessible on the inner surface, the open end facing the seam.    
   
   
       2 . A package as defined in  claim 1 , wherein both compartments each include an open end for withdrawing products therethrough, both open ends facing the seam.  
   
   
       3 . A package as defined in  claim 1 , wherein the first product and the second product both comprise at least one wipe.  
   
   
       4 . A package as defined in  claim 3 , wherein the wipe comprises facial tissue, bath tissue, or a napkin.  
   
   
       5 . A package as defined in  claim 1 , wherein the first compartment has the open end and the second compartment defines an opening located on the inner surface of the second compartment for withdrawing products therethrough, the opening being resealable, and wherein the first product contained in the first compartment is different than the second product contained in the second compartment.  
   
   
       6 . A package as defined in  claim 5 , wherein the opening defined by the second compartment is covered by an adhesive label that is peelable and resealable.  
   
   
       7 . A package as defined in  claim 5 , wherein the resealable opening on the second compartment includes a first side and a second side, the first side being bordered by a ridge, while the second side being bordered by a groove that interlocks with the ridge.  
   
   
       8 . A package as defined in  claim 5 , wherein the first product contained in the first compartment comprises dry wipes while the second product contained in the second compartment comprises pre-moistened wipes.  
   
   
       9 . A package as defined in  claim 1 , wherein the first compartment defines the open end and wherein the second compartment includes a frangible seal located on the inner surface of the second compartment, the frangible seal being configured to be opened by a user for withdrawing the second product therethrough, and wherein the first product contained within the first compartment is different than the second product contained in the second compartment.  
   
   
       10 . A package as defined in  claim 9 , wherein the second product contained within the second compartment comprises a liquid or a semi-solid.  
   
   
       11 . A package as defined in  claim 1 , wherein the first product contained within the first compartment comprises at least one wipe and wherein the second product contained within the second compartment comprises a skin care composition, a cleaning agent, an insect repellant, a fragrance product, a medicated pad, a cosmetic product, rubber gloves, a finger glove, a condom, or mixtures thereof.  
   
   
       12 . A package as defined in  claim 9 , wherein the second product contained within the second compartment comprises a liquid or a semi-solid product and the first product contained within the first compartment comprises an applicator for the second product.  
   
   
       13 . A package as defined in  claim 1 , wherein the package further includes a third compartment superimposed on the inner surface of the second compartment.  
   
   
       14 . A package for carrying consumable products comprising: 
 a first compartment containing a first product, the first compartment having a length and a width and defining an inner surface and an outer surface;    a second compartment containing a second product, the second compartment having a length and a width that are substantially similar to the length and width of the first compartment, the second compartment also defining an inner surface and an outer surface;    wherein the first compartment is connected to the second compartment along a seam and is foldable onto the second compartment about the seam, and wherein, when in a folded configuration, the inner surface of the first compartment faces the inner surface of the second compartment; and    a first opening defined by the first compartment for withdrawing the first product therethrough and a second opening defined by the second compartment for withdrawing the second product therethrough, the first product comprising at least one dry wipe, the second product comprising at least one pre-moistened wipe.    
   
   
       15 . A package as defined in  claim 14 , wherein the first opening located on the first compartment comprises an open end, the second opening located on the second compartment being resealable.  
   
   
       16 . A package as defined in  claim 15 , wherein the second opening located on the second compartment is covered by an adhesive label that is peelable and resealable.  
   
   
       17 . A package as defined in  claim 14 , wherein the second opening located on the second compartment is formed by opening a frangible seal.  
   
   
       18 . A package for carrying consumable products comprising: 
 a first compartment containing a first product, the first compartment having a length and a width and defining an inner surface and an outer surface;    a second compartment containing a second product, the second compartment having a length and a width that are substantially similar to the length and width of the first compartment, the second compartment also defining an inner surface and an outer surface;    wherein the first compartment is connected to the second compartment along a seam and is foldable onto the second compartment about the seam, and wherein, when in a folded configuration, the inner surface of the first compartment faces the inner surface of the second compartment; and    a first opening defined by the first compartment for withdrawing the first product therethrough and a second opening defined by the second compartment for withdrawing the second product therethrough, and wherein the first product comprises a liquid or semi-solid product and wherein the second product comprises a wipe or an applicator for the first product.    
   
   
       19 . A package as defined in  claim 18 , wherein the first opening is located on the inner surface of the first compartment and is formed by opening a frangible seal.  
   
   
       20 . A package as defined in  claim 19 , wherein the second opening located on the second compartment comprises an open end of the compartment that is accessible on the inner surface and that faces the seam.  
   
   
       21 . A package for carrying consumable products comprising: 
 a first compartment containing a first product, the first compartment having a length and a width and defining an inner surface and an outer surface;    a second compartment containing a second product, the second compartment having a length and a width that are substantially similar to the length and width of the first compartment, the second compartment also defining an inner surface and an outer surface;    wherein the first compartment is connected to the second compartment along a seam and is foldable onto the second compartment about the seam, and wherein, when in a folded configuration, the inner surface of the first compartment faces the inner surface of the second compartment; and    a first opening defined by the first compartment for withdrawing the first product therethrough and a second opening defined by the second compartment for withdrawing the second product therethrough, and wherein the first product comprises a premoistened wipe and wherein the second product comprises a dry wipe.
