Abstract
Provided are methods of treatment for tumors. In particular, methods are provided for modulating activity of a cytokine molecule and its receptor.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 18 . (canceled)
. A method of inhibiting tumor growth comprising contacting a tumor cell with an effective amount of a binding composition comprising an antigen-binding site of an antibody that specifically binds to IL-23.
. The method of claim 19 , wherein the binding composition comprises an antigen-binding site of an antibody that specifically binds to a polypeptide consisting of residues 1-168 of SEQ ID NO: 2.
. The method of claim 20 , wherein the tumor cell expresses IL-23.
. The method of claim 20 , wherein the binding composition comprises a monoclonal antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof.
. The method of claim 22 , wherein the binding composition comprises a humanized antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof.
. The method of claim 20 , wherein the binding composition comprises an Fab, Fv, or F(ab′) 2 antibody fragment.
. The method of claim 24 , wherein the binding composition comprises an Fab antibody fragment.
. The method of claim 20 , wherein the tumor cell is a colon cancer cell.
. The method of claim 20 , wherein the tumor cell is an ovarian cancer cell.
. The method of claim 20 , wherein the tumor cell is a breast cancer cell.
. The method of claim 20 , wherein the tumor cell is a melanoma cell.
. A method of treating a subject suffering from a cancer or tumor comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of a binding composition comprising an antigen-binding site of an antibody that specifically binds to IL-23.
. The method of claim 30 , wherein the binding composition comprises an antigen-binding site of an antibody that specifically binds to a polypeptide consisting of residues 1-168 of SEQ ID NO: 2.
. The method of claim 31 , wherein the binding composition inhibits cachexia.
. The method of claim 31 , wherein the binding composition inhibits angiogenesis.
. The method of claim 31 , wherein the binding composition comprises a monoclonal antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof.
. The method of claim 34 , wherein the binding composition comprises a humanized antibody or an antigen-binding fragment thereof.
. The method of claim 31 , wherein the binding composition comprises an Fab, Fv, or F(ab′) 2 antibody fragment.
. The method of claim 36 , wherein the binding composition comprises an Fab antibody fragment.
. The method of claim 31 , wherein the cancer or tumor is colon cancer.
. The method of claim 31 , wherein the cancer or tumor is ovarian cancer.
. The method of claim 31 , wherein the cancer or tumor is breast cancer.
. The method of claim 31 , wherein the cancer or tumor is melanoma.
. A method of inhibiting tumor growth comprising contacting a tumor cell with an effective amount of a binding composition comprising an antigen-binding site of an antibody that specifically binds to a polypeptide consisting of the sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2.
. A method of treating a subject suffering from a cancer or tumor comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of a binding composition comprising an antigen-binding site of an antibody that specifically binds to a polypeptide consisting of the sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
