Abstract
Disclosed is an apparatus for regulating the body temperature of a human by including a clip on portable apparatus for cooling and heating the core of the human. The present personal climate control device provides a hands free cooling and heating device which may be clipped to the belt or pant of a wearer. In cooling the body, the device amplifies evaporation and decreases the chances of shirt to skin contact.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A personal climate control device comprising:
a housing for venting and directing an airflow upward and across a core of a human body; a first and a second opposed opening formed within the housing; a fan located within the housing, wherein the fan directing an air stream from the first opening and towards the second opening of the housing, and whereby the air stream being directed across the human body; an electronic motor operatively connected to the fan; a power supply connected to the electric motor; and a clip connected to the housing for securing the housing to the human body.
2 . The personal climate control device of claim 1 , wherein the motor is a piezoelectric motor.
3 . The personal climate control device of claim 1 , wherein the fan is selected from the group consisting essentially of a tube-axial fan, a centrifugal radial fan and combinations thereof.
4 . The personal climate control device of claim 1 , wherein the power supply is a battery.
5 . The personal climate control device of claim 4 , further including a solar power supply source.
6 . The personal climate control device of claim 1 , further including a pre-chilled element located within the housing and operatively located such that air passes over the pre-chilled element to produce a cooled air stream.
7 . The personal climate control device of claim 1 , further including a pre-heated element located within the housing and operatively located such that air passes over the pre-heated element to produce a heated air stream.
8 . The personal climate control device of claim 1 , further including a heating element located within the housing and operatively located such that air passes over the heating element to produce a heated air stream.
9 . The personal climate control device of claim 1 , further including a mechanical heating and cooling apparatus located within the housing for cooling and heating the air stream for heating and cooling the core of the human body.
10 . The personal climate control device of claim 1 , wherein the second opening in the housing is located under a shirt worn by a human.
11 . The personal climate control device of claim 1 , further including a directional control device located at the second opening in the housing for directing the air stream.
12 . A personal climate control device comprising:
a housing for venting and directing an airflow upward and across a core of a human body; a first and a second opposed opening formed within the housing; a fan located within the housing, wherein the fan directing an air stream from the first opening and towards the second opening of the housing, and whereby the air stream being directed across the core of the human body; an electronic motor operatively connected to the fan; a power supply connected to the electric motor; a mechanical heating and cooling apparatus located within the housing for cooling and heating the air stream for heating and cooling the core of the human body. and a clip connected to the housing for securing the housing to the human body.
13 . The personal climate control device of claim 12 , wherein the second opening in the housing is located under a shirt worn by a human.
14 . The personal climate control device of claim 12 , further including a directional control device located at the second opening in the housing for directing the air stream.
15 . The personal climate control device of claim 12 , wherein the motor is a piezoelectric motor.
16 . The personal climate control device of claim 12 , wherein the fan is selected from the group consisting essentially of a tube-axial fan, a centrifugal radial fan and combinations thereof.
17 . The personal climate control device of claim 12 , wherein the power supply is a battery.
18 . The personal climate control device of claim 12 , wherein the mechanical heating and cooling apparatus is a heat pump.
19 . A personal climate control device comprising:
a housing for venting and directing an airflow upward and across a core of a human body; a first and a second opposed opening formed within the housing; a fan located within the housing, wherein the fan directing an air stream from the first opening and towards the second opening of the housing, and whereby the air stream being directed across the core of the human body; an electronic motor operatively connected to the fan; a pre-chilled element located within the housing and operatively located such that air passes over the pre-chilled element to produce a cooled air stream; a power supply connected to the electric motor; and a clip connected to the housing for securing the housing to the human body.
20 . The personal climate control device of claim 19 , further including a pre-heated element located within the housing and operatively located such that air passes over the pre-heated element to produce a heated air stream.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
