Multi-dimensional locating game system and method
Abstract
A computerized game system for organizing information elements is disclosed, the computerized game system comprising a processing unit; a memory for storing a plurality of information elements, at least a portion of the plurality of information elements having at least one characterization attribute associated therewith, the memory being in communication with the processing unit; a display connected to the processing unit for displaying information elements; and an input device connected to the processing unit for changing the position of the information elements displayed on the display; wherein at least one of a portion of the first information element vector and a score is displayed on the display.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A computerized game system for organizing information elements, the computerized game system comprising:
a processing unit; a memory for storing a plurality of information elements, at least some information elements from the plurality of information elements having at least one characterization attribute associated therewith, the memory being in communication with the processing unit; a display connected to the processing unit for displaying information elements; and an input device connected to the processing unit for altering the position of at least some of the information elements displayed on the display.
2 . The computerized game system of claim 1 , wherein the input device is a game controller.
3 . The computerized game system of claim 1 , further comprising a first information element vector comprising a first group of information elements.
4 . The computerized game system of claim 3 , wherein the information elements on the first information element vector are disposed along a timeline.
5 . The computerized game system of claim 3 , wherein the display displays a second information element vector comprising a second group of information elements having at least one characterization attribute in common.
6 . The computerized game system of claim 4 , wherein the second information element vector is displayed parallel to the first information element vector on the display.
7 . The computerized game system of claim 4 , wherein the second information element vector is displayed non-parallel with the first information element vector on the display.
8 . The computerized game system of claim 1 , comprising a score function of at least one parameter selected from a group consisting of a time, a number of information element, a number of characterization attribute and an information element speed on the display.
9 . The computerized game system of claim 8 , further comprising a game metaphor defining a context in which a user can manage information elements and increase the score.
10 . The computerized game system of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the information elements is a document file.
11 . A method for manipulating information elements on a computerized game system having a display, the method comprising:
generating a first action to move information elements on the display, the first action being generated by a user actuating a command on a game controller.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the command is selected from a group consisting of a game controller thumbstick and a game controller directional pad.
13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein at least one of the information elements is a document file.
14 . The method of claim 11 , wherein at least a portion of the information elements are disposed on a first information element vector.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the information elements are disposed on the first information element vector along a timeline and wherein the first action moves information elements along the timeline.
16 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising selecting a characterization attribute associated with one of the information elements displayed on the display by actuating a command on a game controller.
17 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising selecting at least one information element by an action generated by actuating a command on a game controller.
18 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising generating an action to modify the size of an information element on the display, the action being generated by actuating a command on the game controller and wherein the command is selected from a group consisting of a game controller button, a game controller knob, a game controller thumbstick, a game controller directional pad and a game controller trigger.
19 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising generating an action to navigate through a plurality of characterization attributes, the action being generated by actuating a command on the game controller and wherein the command is selected from a group consisting of a game controller button, a game controller knob, a game controller thumbstick, a game controller directional pad and a game controller trigger.
20 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising generating an action to select a characterization attribute associated with one of the information elements, the action being generated by actuating a command on the game controller and wherein the command is selected from a group consisting of a game controller button, a game controller knob, a game controller thumbstick, a game controller directional pad and a game controller trigger.
21 . A computerized game for displaying information comprising:
a plurality of information elements stored, at least in part, in a memory; at least one characterization attribute associated with at least some of the plurality of information elements; at least one processing unit in communication with the memory; a display in communication with the processing unit; a first information element vector comprising a first group of information elements selected, at least in part, from the plurality of information elements, the first group of information elements having a first characterization attribute in common; a second information element vector comprising a first group of information elements selected, at least in part, from the plurality of information elements, the second group of information elements having a second characterization attribute in common; a first game controller in communication with the at least one processing unit, the game controller influencing the position of at least one of the first group of information elements and the second group of information elements on the display; and a second game controller in communication with the at least one processing unit, the game controller influencing the position of at least one of the group of information elements and the second group of information elements on the display.
22 . The computerized game of claim 21 , wherein the at least one processing unit is at least a first processing unit and a second processing unit communicating via a network.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
