Abstract
A composite sheet material for use as a portion of a tear away fastening system. The sheet material includes a substrate layer and yarns extending through the substrate layer such that the define an arrangement of looped elements projecting away from one side of the substrate layer. The looped elements are interconnected by portions of the yarns disposed across the other side of the substrate layer. A backing layer is disposed in overlying relation to the substrate layer to hold the yarns in place.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 27 . (canceled)
28 . A diaper having an outer surface covering, the outer surface covering comprising a composite sheet material, said composite sheet material comprising a substrate layer of entangled fiber elements and a plurality of yarns of multi-filament textured construction extending in a repeating pattern through said substrate layer at locations along the length of said substrate layer such that said yarns define a plurality of looped elements having a plurality of individual filaments projecting away from a first face of said substrate layer such that said looped elements are arranged in substantially parallel rows and are interconnected by portions of said yarns disposed across a second face of said substrate layer projecting away from said first face and wherein said composite sheet material is disposed across portions of each of the rear panel and the front panel of the diaper with said looped elements defining an outer show surface of the diaper.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
