Abstract
Decorative garland string firework devices and methods for making same are provided. A garland string firework device can comprise an internal firework device and an outer decorative garland disposed around the internal firework device. The internal firework device can be an elongated firework string comprising combustible material. The outer garland can be an exterior firework generally disposed around at least a portion of the elongated firework string. The exterior firework can comprise combustible material. The exterior firework can have an elongated configuration and a compressed configuration. In the elongated configuration, the exterior firework can have a first length, and in the compressed configuration, the exterior firework can have a second length. The outer garland can comprise multiple component sheets attached at multiple locations to form a decorative appearance. Compression of the outer garland enables packaging and storage without damaging the garland string firework device. Other embodiments are also claimed and described.

an elongated firework string comprising combustible material; and an exterior firework generally disposed around at least a portion of the elongated firework string, the exterior firework comprising combustible material and the exterior firework having an elongated configuration and a compressed configuration, the elongated configuration having a first length and the compressed configuration having a second length.
2 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising a firework device coupled to an end of the firework string such that the firework string can ignite the firework device.
3 . The device of claim 1 , the exterior firework comprising a plurality of combustible material components coupled to at least one adjacent combustible material component, the plurality of combustible material components defining an aperture to receive the elongated firework string.
4 . The device of claim 3 , wherein adjacent combustible material components are coupled together at multiple points on corresponding surfaces of the adjacent combustible materials.
5 . The device of claim 3 , wherein adjacent combustible material components are coupled together at three points on corresponding surfaces of the adjacent combustible materials.

The device of claim 1 , the exterior firework comprising a plurality of combustible material components, wherein adjacent combustible material components are configured in a flush configuration in the compressed configuration and the combustible material components configured in an expanded configuration in the elongated configuration such that a portion of surfaces of adjacent combustible material components are divergent.

The device of claim 2 , the firework device comprising at least one enclosure to receive the elongated firework string and defining a space to carry combustible materials, the elongated firework string coupled to the combustible materials such that the elongated firework string can ignite the combustible materials.
8 . The device of claim 1 , the exterior firework comprising a plurality of combustible material components coupled to at least one adjacent combustible material component with a combustible adhesive material.
9 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of combustible material components are paper sheets having at least one of a polygonal or circular geometric shape.
10 . The device of claim 1 , the exterior firework comprising a non-burning agent to decrease burning of the exterior firework to a pace substantially similar to the elongated firework string.
11 . A firework manufacturing method comprising:
providing an elongated firework string; providing a garland firework enclosure at least partially around the elongated firework string, the garland firework enclosure having an adjustable length to adjust between an elongated configuration and a compressed configuration, wherein the garland firework enclosure has a length substantially greater in the elongated configuration relative to the compressed configuration.
12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising forming the garland firework enclosure with a plurality of combustible material sheets wherein the sheets are coupled to at least one adjacent sheet at multiple locations on the surface of the sheets.
13 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising coupling at least one of the elongated firework string and the garland firework enclosure to a firework device to ignite the firework device.
14 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising providing a non-burning agent in combination with the garland firework enclosure to alter burning of the garland firework enclosure to a pace substantially similar to the elongated firework string.
15 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising packaging the elongated firework string and the garland firework enclosure by compressing the garland firework enclosure into the compressed configuration and situating the compressed garland firework enclosure and the elongated firework string in a container.
16 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising adding a material to the garland firework enclosure to alter the burning rate of the garland firework enclosure.
17 . In a pyrotechnic system comprising a firework device carrying combustible material, the firework device coupled to an elongated firework string, the elongated firework string comprising combustible materials to ignite the firework device by transferring a flame to the firework device, a decorative cover for the elongated firework string comprising:
a plurality of combustible component sheets attached together forming a chain of combustible component sheets, wherein each combustible component sheet is coupled to at least one adjacent combustible component sheet at multiple locations; the plurality of combustible component sheets each defining an opening disposed in an interior location of the combustible component sheets such that the plurality of combustible component sheets form an aperture to receive the elongated firework string; the chain of combustible component sheets having an elongated configuration and a compressed configuration, wherein in the elongated configuration the decorative cover has a length greater than the length of the decorative cover in the compressed configuration.
18 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the combustible component sheets have at least one of a polygonal or circular geometric shape.
19 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the combustible component sheets comprise a burning agent to adjust burning of the decorative cover to a pace substantially equal to the elongated firework string.
20 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the combustible component sheets are coupled to an adjacent sheet in an alternating surface configuration on each surface of the adjacent sheet.Cited by (0)
