Portable communicator

Abstract

This communicator makes it possible for the user to do telephone, facsimile, and data communication at any location. On a pen input device, a space eye 2 , a telephone control system, a facsimile control system, and a data transmission system are mounted. All of them are operated by an input pen 55 or the space eye 2 . The pen input device is connected to a wireless telephone equipment 7 , and can be connected to a desired party through the public communication channel. In order to make the most of the equipment of a GPS user, the GPS user device 8 is connected to the pen input device 3 . The current location of the GPS user is found through the GPS user device 8 , and the data on the current location is transmitted to the party. Further, to make this communicator usable in any country, it is provided with means to connect it to a wireless telephone network of an individual service area of the country.

1 . A portable communication apparatus comprising:
 a housing including a display;   a wireless communication device that capable of wireless connection;   a telephone device connected to the wireless communication device;   a control unit is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, enter data from the wireless communication device, or transmit data through the wireless communication device;   a connection specification storage device capable of storing connection specification information for a plurality of countries;   a coverage unit capable of transmitting connection specification information to the control unit;   
     
     
         2 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the connection specification storage device is a ROM memory. 
     
     
         3 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the connection specification storage device is capable of storing data for connecting the telephone device to a wirelesses network in the plurality of countries. 
     
     
         4 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the connection specification storage device is capable of storing at least one of radio wave information, frequency information, a protocol, an ID number, and a specification for satellite link. 
     
     
         5 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 1 , further including a telephone controller connected to the coverage unit. 
     
     
         6 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 5 , wherein the coverage unit is configured to send signals based on data in the connection specification storage device to the telephone controller and the telephone device. 
     
     
         7 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the display is configured to show at least one of the country name, service provider, time, reception status display. 
     
     
         8 . A portable communication apparatus comprising:
 a speaker;   a microphone;   a wireless communication device that capable of wireless connection;   a control unit is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, enter data from the wireless communication device, or transmit data through the wireless communication device;   a connection specification storage device capable of storing a connection specification for a plurality of countries;   a coverage unit capable of transmitting connection specification information to the control device; and   a display that is capable of showing at least one of a present country name, a service provider name, a present time, and a reception status.   
     
     
         9 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 8 , wherein the connection specification storage device is a ROM memory. 
     
     
         10 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 8 , wherein the connection specification storage device is capable of storing data for connecting the telephone device to a wirelesses network in the plurality of countries. 
     
     
         11 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 8 , wherein the connection specification storage device is capable of storing at least one of radio wave information, frequency information, a protocol, an ID number, and a specification for satellite link. 
     
     
         12 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 8 , further including a telephone controller connected to the coverage unit. 
     
     
         13 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 12 , wherein the coverage unit is configured to send signals based on data in the connection specification storage device to the telephone controller and the telephone device. 
     
     
         14 . A portable communication apparatus comprising:
 a wireless communication device that capable of wireless connection;   a control unit is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, enter data from the wireless communication device, or transmit data through the wireless communication device;   a connection specification storage device capable of storing a connection specification for a plurality of countries;   a coverage unit capable of transmitting connection specification information to the control unit;   a display is configured to show the a service provider name, and a reception status.   
     
     
         15 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 14 , wherein the connection specification storage device is a ROM memory. 
     
     
         16 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 14 , wherein the connection specification storage device is capable of storing data for connecting the telephone device to a wirelesses network in the plurality of countries. 
     
     
         17 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 14 , wherein the connection specification storage device is capable of storing at least one of radio wave information, frequency information, a protocol, an ID number, and a specification for satellite link. 
     
     
         18 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 14 , further including a telephone controller connected to the coverage unit. 
     
     
         19 . The portable communication apparatus according to  claim 18 , wherein the coverage unit is configured to send signals based on data in the connection specification storage device to the telephone controller and the telephone device.
