Security setting system

Abstract

The present invention discloses an access point for performing a security setting process for wireless communication with a wireless LAN terminal by means of wireless communication, the access point comprising: an access point side wireless communication unit for establishing wireless communication with the wireless LAN terminal; an access point side start instruction reception unit for receiving a start instruction; a start instruction data reception unit for receiving start instruction data through the access point side wireless communication unit; and an access point side security setting unit, which does not perform the security setting process if the start instruction data is received before the access point side start instruction reception unit receives the start instruction, and which performs the security setting process if the start instruction data is not received before the access point side start instruction reception unit receives the start instruction.

1 . An access point for performing a security setting process for wireless communication with a wireless LAN terminal by means of wireless communication, the access point comprising:
 an access point side wireless communication unit for establishing wireless communication with the wireless LAN terminal;   an access point side start instruction reception unit for receiving a start instruction for the security setting process;   a start instruction data reception unit for receiving start instruction data that indicates the start of the security setting process through the access point side wireless communication unit; and   an access point side security setting unit, which does not perform the security setting process if the start instruction data is received before the access point side start instruction reception unit receives the start instruction, and which performs the security setting process if the start instruction data is not received before the access point side start instruction reception unit receives the start instruction.   
   
   
       2 . The access point according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 the access point side start instruction reception unit receives the start instruction through a wired connection; and   the start instruction data reception unit receives the start instruction data through the wireless LAN.   
   
   
       3 . The access point according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 when the security setting process is performed, the access point does not allow the access point side wireless communication unit to output data for indicating that the security setting process is in progress.   
   
   
       4 . The access point according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 the access point side wireless communication unit can establish wireless communication on a plurality of channels; and wherein the start instruction data reception unit and the access point side security setting unit communicate with the wireless LAN terminal by using a predetermined specific channel only.   
   
   
       5 . A security setting method for an access point that uses wireless communication to perform a security setting process for wirelessly communicating with a wireless LAN terminal, the method comprising:
 an access point side start instruction reception step for receiving a start instruction for the security setting process;   a start instruction data reception step, which uses wireless communication to receive start instruction data that indicates the start of the security setting process; and   an access point side security setting step in which the security setting process is not performed if the start instruction data is received before the start instruction is received in the access point side start instruction reception step, and in which the security setting process is performed if the start instruction data is not received before the start instruction is received in the access point side start instruction reception step.   
   
   
       6 . A computer readable medium encoded with a computer executable instructions, the instructions comprising:
 a control program for an access point that uses wireless communication to perform a security setting process for wirelessly communicating with a wireless LAN terminal, wherein the access point includes an access point side wireless communication unit for wirelessly communicating with the wireless LAN terminal,   the control program causing a computer to execute,   an access point side start instruction reception function for receiving a start instruction for the security setting process;   a start instruction data reception function for receiving start instruction data that indicates the start of the security setting process through the access point side wireless communication unit; and   an access point side security setting function, which does not perform the security setting process if the start instruction data is received before the start instruction is received by the access point side start instruction reception function, and which performs the security setting process if the start instruction data is not received before the start instruction is received by the access point side start instruction reception function.
