Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing a bearing shell comprising two circumferentially extending oil grooves. According to said method, a rectangular blank is cut from a strip stock, and said blank is shaped into the bearing shell. The oil grooves are introduced into the blank by die-cutting two cavities which extend from the narrow sides in the longitudinal direction of the blank at a maximum angular range of 60°.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 5 . (canceled)

6 . Method for the manufacture of a bearing with two oil slots extending in peripheral direction where from a strip material a rectangular plate is detached and this plate is recast to the bearing wherein the oil slots are inserted in the plate, in which two openings extending from the quoins in longitudinal direction along the plates over an angle range of up to 60 degrees are cut.

7 . Method according to claim 6 , wherein the openings are cut during the detachment of the plates from the strip material.

8 . Method according to claim 7 , wherein detachment and cutting are carried out in one direction.

9 . Method according to claim 6 , wherein a ramp-like section is inserted in the plate or in the baring on the inner end of the openings, respectively.

10 . Method according to claim 9 , wherein the ramp-like section is milled.
