Abstract
A combination pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of pain comprising between about 125 mg and about 150 mg ibuprofen and between about 475 mg and about 500 mg paracetamol, and a method for alleviating pain in a patient comprising administering to the patient a pharmaceutical composition comprising between about 125 mg and about 150 mg ibuprofen and between about 475 mg and about 500 mg paracetamol.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of pain comprising an excipient; ibuprofen, ibuprofen salt, ibuprofen ester, or ibuprofen complex; and paracetamol, paracetamol salt, paracetamol ester, or paracetamol complex; wherein a weight ratio of paracetamol, paracetamol salt, paracetamol ester, or paracetamol complex to ibuprofen, ibuprofen salt, ibuprofen ester, or ibuprofen complex is between about 3 to 1 and about 4 to 1.
. The composition of claim 1 provided in a unit dose formulation comprising between about 125 mg and about 150 mg ibuprofen; and between about 475 mg and about 500 mg paracetamol.
. The composition of claim 1 provided in a unit dose formulation comprising between about 62.5 mg and about 75 mg ibuprofen; and between about 237.5 mg and about 250 mg paracetamol.
. The composition of claim 1 wherein the weight ratio of paracetamol to ibuprofen is about 10 to 3.
. The composition of claim 1 provided in a formulation comprising about 150 mg ibuprofen and about 500 mg paracetamol.
. The composition of claim 1 wherein the ibuprofen is present as a salt, an ester or a complex in an amount sufficient to deliver between about 125 mg and about 150 mg ibuprofen.
. The composition of claim 2 wherein the composition is provided in a formulation suitable to be administered as two unit doses four times a day.
. The combination composition of claim 1 wherein the composition is provided in a formulation suitable to be administered as two unit doses four times a day, and the unit doses are tablets or capsules.
. A pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of pain comprising an excipient, ibuprofen, and paracetamol, wherein a synergistically effective weight ratio range of paracetamol to ibuprofen is between about 3.4 to 1 and about 3.3 to 1.
. The composition of claim 9 provided in a unit dose formulation comprising between about 125 mg and about 150 mg ibuprofen; and between about 475 mg and about 500 mg paracetamol.
. The composition of claim 9 provided in a unit dose formulation comprising between about 62.5 mg and about 75 mg ibuprofen; and between about 237.5 mg and about 250 mg paracetamol.
. The composition of claim 9 wherein the weight ratio of paracetamol to ibuprofen is about 10 to 3.
. The composition of claim 9 provided in a unit dose formulation comprising about 150 mg ibuprofen and about 500 mg paracetamol.
. The composition of claim 9 wherein the composition is provided in a formulation suitable to be administered as two unit doses four times a day.
. The composition of claim 9 wherein the composition is provided in a formulation suitable to be administered as two unit doses four times a day, and the unit doses are tablets or capsules.
. A method for alleviating pain in a patient comprising administering to said patient the composition of claim 3 .
. The method of claim 16 , wherein the unit dose is a tablet or a capsule and two unit doses are administered four times daily.
. The method of claim 16 wherein the ratio of paracetamol to ibuprofen in the single therapeutic dose is about 10:3.
. The method of claim 16 comprising administering to said patient 150 mg ibuprofen and 500 mg paracetamol per each administration.
. The method of claim 16 comprising administering to said patient between about 250 mg and about 300 mg ibuprofen and between about 975 mg and about 1000 mg paracetamol, in a single administration.Cited by (0)
