Abstract
A wall-mounted grille particularly for the passage of air from an air-conditioning unit toward the outside, the grille being constituted by a perimetric frame inside which a plurality of deflecting vanes are fixed in a parallel arrangement and have a substantially concave transverse cross-section with the concavity directed upward, the vanes having, on their bottom, drainage openings for draining rainwater toward an underlying sloping wing which is interposed between the last lower deflecting vane and the lower edge of the frame.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A wall-mounted grille for allowing passage of air from an air-conditioning unit toward the outside, comprising: a perimetric frame; a plurality of deflecting vanes that have each a substantially concave transverse cross-section with, in operation configuration, an upward directed concavity that forms a respective bottom thereof, said vanes being fixed in said perimentric frame in a parallel superimposed arrangement; a lower sloping wing formed by a profile element which is interposed between a last, lower deflecting vane of said plurality of vanes and a lower edge of the frame; and drainage openings arranged in the bottoms of said vanes for draining rainwater toward said lower sloping wing.
2 . The grille of claim 1 , wherein said drainage openings are constituted by a plurality of suitably equidistant slots.
3 . The grille of claim 1 , wherein said vanes are fitted in said frame so that they are substantially horizontal once the grille is installed.
4 . The grille of claim 1 , wherein said vanes have cross-sectional configurations that are substantially V-shaped, each with an outer wing, which is longer than an inner wing, that is inclined symmetrically with respect to the inner wing.
5 . The grille of claim 4 , wherein said outer wing ends with a substantially horizontal end flap.
6 . The grille of claim 3 , comprising frame fixing means for fixing said vanes to the frame, which are constituted by at least two vertical bars with threaded ends, each of which is retained between two bolts which are screwed against an upper wall and a lower wall of the perimetric frame.
7 . The grille of claim 6 , wherein said vanes are fixed to the frame spaced from each other and from the lower and upper walls of the frame by way of tubular spacers which are fitted concentrically over the bars alternately with respect to the vanes.
8 . The grille of claim 5 , wherein said vanes are assembled to the frame so that the bottom of an overlying vane lies substantially on a same plane of arrangement as the end flap of an underlying vane, so that such nearby two vanes form a substantially S shaped air deflection path, air being diverted upward in output by two nearby outer wings of two subsequent deflection vanes.
9 . The grille of claim 7 , wherein said tubular spacers are provided with a height selected depending on requirements and needs for a grille size.
10 . The grille of claim 1 , further comprising a net for protection against the entry of insects, which is arranged so as to cover an inner face of the grille, i.e., a face thereof directed toward a conditioned, enclosed space.
11 . The grille of claim 10 , comprising rivets for fixing said net to a rear fold of an upper vane and of a lower profile which forms the sloping wing.
12 . The grille of claim 10 , wherein said net is spot-welded to the vanes or to the frame.
13 . The grille of claim 1 , wherein said vanes, the frame and the profile element with the sloping wing are made of sheet metal.Cited by (0)
