Abstract
The invention provides new triazolo[4,5-d]pyrimidine compounds, their use as medicaments, compositions containing them and processes for their preparation.

where:
R 1 is propyl;
R 3 and R 4 are both hydroxy; or are protected derivatives thereof or R 3 and R 4 together form a bond in the 5-membered ring;
R is OCH 2 CH 2 OH;
and L is a leaving group.
20 . A compound according to claim 19 in which L is halogen or SR.
21 . A process for the preparation of a compound of formula (V) as claimed in claim 19 which comprises reducing a compound of formula (VI):

R 1 is propyl;
L is a leaving group;
