Abstract

A system for use with at least one of a foodstuff and/or a consumable beverage and method of manufacturing same.

1 . A system for use with at least one of a foodstuff and/or a consumable beverage, comprising:
 a bottle having a base and a sidewall which defines a chamber therein;   thermal energy storage material being located in the chamber; and   a blender mechanism integrated in the base and adapted to allow the bottle to mix bottle contents without requiring connection of the bottle to other devices.   
   
   
       2 . The system of  claim 1 , further comprising a blender blade configured to represent a character disposed in the bottle on the base. 
   
   
       3 . The system of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one illustrative element located on the bottle, wherein the character is coordinated with the at least one illustrative element. 
   
   
       4 . The system of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a lid that is adapted to engage the bottle; and   a straw having a distal end in the bottle proximate to the base and extending along a path: generally upwardly, generally through at least a portion of a spiral generally along a portion of an inner surface of the sidewall, and into the lid.   
   
   
       5 . The system of  claim 4 , wherein the lid further comprises a shield moveable between a first position, in which the straw extends from the lid and is configured for drinking, and a second position, in which the shield at least partially compresses the straw such that the straw is contained within the bottle and the lid so as not to protrude therefrom. 
   
   
       6 . The system of  claim 5 , wherein the lid further comprises an abutment configured such that the shield will bend the straw about a wrap point along the abutment when the shield is moved into the second position. 
   
   
       7 . The system of  claim 5 , wherein the step of providing the bottle further comprises a surface of the base which forms an interior surface of the bottle being convex to encourage bottle contents to generally flow toward a perimeter of the surface to facilitate use of the straw to remove bottle contents. 
   
   
       8 . The system of  claim 7 , further comprising a power source located in the base adapted to power the blender mechanism. 
   
   
       9 . The system of  claim 1 , further comprising a selectable control for selectively activating the blender mechanism, wherein the blender mechanism is activated while the selectable control is depressed. 
   
   
       10 . A system for use with at least one of a foodstuff and/or a consumable beverage, comprising:
 a bottle having a cavity defined by a base and a sidewall;   a blender mechanism integrated in the base and adapted to allow the bottle to mix contents of the container without requiring connection of the bottle to other devices; and   at least one character shaped blender blade located on the base and engaged with the blender mechanism.   
   
   
       11 . The system of  claim 10 , further comprising at least one illustrative element located on the bottle, wherein the character is coordinated with the at least one illustrative element. 
   
   
       12 . The system of  claim 10 , further comprising:
 a lid that is adapted to engage the bottle; and   a straw having a distal end in the bottle proximate to the base and extending along a path: generally upwardly, generally through at least a portion of a spiral generally along a portion of an inner surface of the sidewall, and into the lid.   
   
   
       13 . The system of  claim 12 , wherein the lid further comprises a shield moveable between a first position, in which the straw extends from the lid and is configured for drinking, and a second position, in which the shield at least partially compresses the straw such that the straw is contained within the bottle and the lid so as not to protrude therefrom. 
   
   
       14 . The system of  claim 13 , wherein the lid further comprises an abutment configured such that the shield will bend the straw about a wrap point along the abutment when the shield is moved into the second position. 
   
   
       15 . The system of  claim 14 , wherein the step of providing the bottle further comprises a surface of the base which forms an interior surface of the bottle being convex to encourage bottle contents to generally flow toward a perimeter of the surface to facilitate use of the straw to remove bottle contents. 
   
   
       16 . The system of  claim 10 , further comprising a power source located in the base adapted to power the blender mechanism. 
   
   
       17 . The system of  claim 10 , further comprising a selectable control for selectively activating the blender mechanism, wherein the blender mechanism is activated while the selectable control is depressed. 
   
   
       18 . A system for use with at least one of a foodstuff and/or a consumable beverage, comprising:
 a bottle having a base and a sidewall which defines an opening on an end opposite the base;   a cup that is at least one of removably securable generally within the opening and detachably threadable in a generally end-to-end fashion with the sidewall proximate to the opening; and   a blender mechanism integrated in the base and adapted to allow the bottle to mix bottle contents without requiring connection of the bottle to other devices.   
   
   
       19 . The system of  claim 18 , wherein the cup is configured with a lip sized to allow the cup to hang within the mouth of the bottle. 
   
   
       20 . The system of  claim 18 , wherein the cup is configured to be threaded to the sidewall such that when the cup is threaded thereto, the cup covers the mouth. 
   
   
       21 . The system of  claim 18 , further comprising a cover configured to form a drink spout adapted for attachment to the bottle. 
   
   
       22 . The system of  claim 21 , further comprising a lid detachably securable to the cover to cover the drink spout. 
   
   
       23 . The system of  claim 18 , wherein further comprising at least one character shaped blender blade located on the base and engaged with the blender mechanism. 
   
   
       24 . The system of  claim 23 , further comprising at least one illustrative element located on the bottle, wherein the character is coordinated with the at least one illustrative element. 
   
   
       25 . The system of  claim 18 , further comprising a power source located in the base adapted to power the blender mechanism. 
   
   
       26 . The system of  claim 18 , wherein the sidewall defines a chamber therein, and further comprising thermal energy storage material located in the chamber. 
   
   
       27 . The system of  claim 18 , further comprising a selectable control for selectively activating the blender mechanism, wherein the blender mechanism is activated while the selectable control is depressed.
