System and method for creating and accessing outgoing telephone call log

Abstract

Access is provided to network connection data for a user terminal. A query based on a request from a communications device to access the network connection data is received over a first network. The network connection data corresponding to the request is retrieved from a database based on the query. The database is populated with the network connection data and interfaces with a second network over which network connections are established with the user terminal. The network connection data retrieved from the database is forwarded for display at the communications device.

1 . A method of providing access to network connection data for a user terminal, comprising:
 receiving, over a first network, a query based on a request from a communications device to access the network connection data;   retrieving the network connection data corresponding to the request from a database based on the query, the database being populated with the network connection data and interfacing with a second network over which a plurality of network connections are established with the user terminal; and   forwarding the network connection data retrieved from the database for display at the communications device.   
   
   
       2 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 populating a device database for the communications device with the network connection data.   
   
   
       3 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 populating a personal database with information sent by the communications device.   
   
   
       4 . The method according to  claim 3 ,
 wherein the information is provided by a user based on the display of the network connection data.   
   
   
       5 . The method according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the communications device comprises a computing device.   
   
   
       6 . The method according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the network connection data is formatted as a graphical user interface.   
   
   
       7 . The method according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein privileges for a user making the request are used to determine a portion of the network connection data to display.   
   
   
       8 . The method according to  claim 6 ,
 wherein a user interacts with the graphical user interface to initiate a repeat network connection.   
   
   
       9 . A computer readable medium storing a program, recorded on the computer readable medium, for providing access to network connection data for a user terminal, comprising:
 a receiving code, recorded on the computer readable medium, executable to receive, over a first network, a query based on a request from a communications device to access the network connection data;   a retrieving code, recorded on the computer readable medium, executable to retrieve the network connection data corresponding to the request from a database based on the query, the database being populated with the network connection data and interfacing with a second network over which a plurality of network connections are established with the user terminal; and   a forwarding code, recorded on the computer readable medium, executable to forward the network connection data retrieved from the database for display at the communications device.   
   
   
       10 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 9 , further comprising:
 an obtaining code, recorded on the computer readable medium, executable to obtain user-defined information for the plurality of network connections.   
   
   
       11 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 10 ,
 wherein the user-defined information comprises a name corresponding to a destination of at least one of the plurality of network connections.   
   
   
       12 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 10 ,
 wherein the user-defined information is forwarded for display at the communications device.   
   
   
       13 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 9 ,
 wherein the network connection data comprises a destination address, a start date, a start time, a stop date, and a stop time associated with the plurality of network connections.   
   
   
       14 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 9 ,
 wherein the network connection data is displayed as a plurality of categories of network connection data.   
   
   
       15 . The computer readable medium according to  claim 14 ,
 wherein at least one of the plurality of categories comprises a network connection characteristic.   
   
   
       16 . A network node for providing access to network connection data, comprising:
 a receiver operable to receive, over a first network, a query based on a request from a communications device to access the network connection data;   a retrieving interface operable to retrieve the network connection data corresponding to the request from a database based on the query, the database being populated with the network connection data and interfacing with a second network over which a plurality of network connections are established with the user terminal; and   a forwarding interface operable to forward the network connection data retrieved from the database for display at the communications device.   
   
   
       17 . The network node according to  claim 16 ,
 wherein a report is generated based on the network connection data retrieved from the database for display at the communications device.   
   
   
       18 . The network node according to  claim 17 ,
 wherein the report comprises a summary of network connections established with a user terminal at a particular communication address.   
   
   
       19 . The network node according to  claim 18 ,
 wherein the report comprises charges associated with the network connections with the user terminal.   
   
   
       20 . The network node according to  claim 17 ,
 wherein service privileges determine a format of the report.
