Abstract

The invention relates to a recessed frame for supporting at least one fixture in a wall opening, wherein one such fixture may be for instance a dispenser for paper. The frame comprises a first sub frame having spaced apart wall members defining an opening; the first sub frame having first flange members for mounting the first sub frame flush with a wall surface surrounding the wall opening. The frame further comprises a second sub frame having the same geometric configuration as said first sub frame, at least one section of said second sub frame being arranged to telescope with respect to said first sub frame. The second sub frame may be arranged for adjustable positioning relative to the first sub frame by means of said telescoping relationship with respect to the wall surface surrounding the said wall opening. The fixture is releasably attached to the second sub frame. Releasable securing means are provided for locking the first and second sub frames relative to each other in a predetermined position.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. A recessed frame for supporting at least one fixture in a wall opening, characterized in that the frame comprises a first sub frame having spaced apart wall members defining an opening, the first sub frame having first flange members for mounting the first sub frame flush with a wall surface surrounding the wall opening; a second sub frame having the same geometric configuration as said first sub frame, at least one section of said second sub frame being arranged to telescope with respect to said first sub frame; the second sub frame being arranged for adjustable positioning relative to the first sub frame by means of said telescoping relationship and with respect to the wall surface surrounding the said wall opening; and releasable securing means for locking the first and second sub frames relative to each other in a predetermined position.

. Recessed frame according to claim 1 , characterized in that said sub frames are of a rectangular configuration.

. Recessed frame according to claim 1 , characterized in that one of said sub frames is provided with securing means adapted to fasten said sub frame in said wall opening.

. Recessed frame according to claim 3 , characterized in that said one of said sub frames is of a larger cross section than the other sub frame, allowing an inner surface of the larger sub frame to slide against an outer surface of the other sub frame.

. Recessed frame according to claim 4 , characterized in that the sub frame having the larger cross section is provided with securing means adapted to fasten said sub frame in said wall opening.

. Recessed frame according to claim 5 , characterized in that the securing means are arranged for mounting the sub frame having the larger cross section in said wall opening independently of the other sub frame and prior to the installation of said fixture.

. Recessed frame according to claim 1 , characterized in that the fixture is releasably attached to the second sub frame.

. Recessed frame according to claim 1 , characterized in that at least one first fixture is releasably attached to an upper section of the second sub frame.

. Recessed frame according to claim 8 , characterized in that at least one second fixture is releasably attached to a lower section of the second sub frame.

. Recessed frame according to claim 9 , characterized in that the first fixture is a dispenser and the second fixture is a waste receptacle.

. Recessed frame according to claim 9 , characterized in that the upper and lower sections of the second sub frame are arranged for separate telescopic adjustment of the first and the second fixture.

. Recessed frame according to claim 1 , characterized in that a first and at least a second fixture are releasably attached side-by-side to the second sub frame.

. Recessed frame according to claim 1 , characterized in that the relative position of the first and the second sub frame is selected dependent on the dimension of the fixtures at right angles to the wall surface of the surrounding wall.

. Recessed frame according to claim 1 , characterized in that the relative position of the first and the second sub frame is selected dependent on a desired position of the fixtures relative to the wall surface of the surrounding wall.

. Recessed frame according to claim 14 , characterized in that the relative position of the first and the second sub frame is selected so that at least one fixture is located flush with the flange members.

. Recessed frame according to claim 14 , characterized in that the relative position of the first and the second sub frame is selected so that at least one fixture is arranged to project a distance past the flange members.

. Recessed frame according to claim 1 , characterized in that the second sub frame is arranged to accommodate fixtures of different sizes.

. Recessed frame according to claim 1 , characterized in that the first sub frame is provided with second flange members extending between the first sub frame and at least three sides of the fixture.

. Recessed frame according to claim 18 , characterized in that the second flange members are arranged flush with the first flange members.

. Recessed frame according to claim 1 , characterized in that the maximum relative telescopic displacement between the first and the second sub frame is in the range 50-150 mm, or preferably 70-120 mm.
