Structural proteins of fish pancreatic disease virus and uses thereof

Abstract

The present invention relates to the structural proteins of the causative agent of Pancreatic Disease in fish, nucleotide sequences encoding said proteins, vaccines comprising said proteins or nucleotide sequences and diagnostic kits comprising said proteins or nucleotide sequences.

1 . A structural protein of Fish Pancreatic Disease virus, wherein the protein is selected from the group consisting of an E1 protein, an E3 protein and a 6K protein. 
     
     
         2 . The structural protein of  claim 1 , characterised in that said wherein the protein comprises an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO:3, SEQ ID NO:5, SEQ ID NO:7, SEQ ID NO:8 and SEQ ID NO:15. 
     
     
         3 . A nucleic acid comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding one or more of the structural proteins of Fish Pancreas Disease Virus selected from the group consisting of a capsid protein, an E1 protein, an E2 protein, an E3 protein and a 6K protein. 
     
     
         4 . The nucleic acid of  claim 3 , wherein the nucleotide sequence comprises one or more of SEQ ID NO 1 and SEQ ID NO 14, or fragments thereof. 
     
     
         5 . A pharmaceutical composition, comprising:
 a protein of the  claim 1  and   a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

         7 . A DNA vaccine, comprising:
 a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and   a DNA plasmid in which a nucleotide sequence of  claim 3  is operably linked to a transcriptional regulatory sequence.   
     
     
         8 . A vector vaccines comprising:
 a live attenuated modified bacteria or virus, wherein the bacteria or virus comprises one or more of the nucleotide sequences of  claim 3 .   
     
     
         9 . A vaccines comprising:
 one or more of the structural proteins of  claim 1  and   a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.   
     
     
         10 . A diagnostic kit, comprising:
 one or more proteins of  claim 1 .   
     
     
         11 . A pharmaceutical composition, comprising:
 a nucleic acid of  claim 3  and   a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.   
     
     
         12 . A diagnostic kit, comprising:
 one or more nucleic acids, or fragments thereof, of  claim 3 .   
     
     
         13 . A pharmaceutical composition, comprising an E2 protein of Fish Pancreatic Disease virus and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. 
     
     
         14 . The pharmaceutical composition of  claim 13 , wherein said E2 protein comprises SEQ ID NO: 6. 
     
     
         15 . A vaccine comprising the pharmaceutical composition of  claim 13 .
