Abstract

A forehead support for a respiratory mask assembly includes a cushion frame including one or more openings structured to receive one or more forehead cushions. The one or more openings are angled downwardly, as viewed from the side, so as to properly orient the one or more forehead cushions with respect to the patient's forehead in use.

       13 . A forehead support for a respiratory mask assembly, comprising:
 a cushion frame including one or more openings structured to receive one or more forehead cushions, the one or more openings being angled downwardly, as viewed from the side, so as to properly orient the one or more forehead cushions with respect to the patient's forehead in use.   
   
   
       14 . A forehead support according to  claim 13 , wherein the cushion frame is generally T-shaped. 
   
   
       15 . A forehead support according to  claim 14 , wherein each end of an upper portion of the T-shape includes an opening structured to receive a forehead cushion. 
   
   
       16 . A forehead support according to  claim 13 , wherein each opening is angled about 15° downwardly of a horizontal axis of the cushion frame. 
   
   
       17 . A forehead support according to  claim 13 , wherein each opening is tapered along its length. 
   
   
       18 . A forehead support according to  claim 13 , wherein the cushion frame includes a locking clip receiver assembly structured to interlock with a locking clip associated with a headgear assembly. 
   
   
       19 . A respiratory mask assembly for delivering breathable gas to a patient, comprising:
 a frame; and   a forehead support according to  claim 13  provided to the frame.   
   
   
       20 . A respiratory mask assembly according to  claim 19 , wherein the frame includes a joining member and the cushion frame is movably mounted to the joining member. 
   
   
       21 . A respiratory mask assembly according to  claim 19 , wherein the mask assembly is a full-face mask.
