method and system for coordinating a specific subscribed service on a mobile communication device

Abstract

A method and system for coordinating a specific subscribed service on a mobile communication device are provided. In accordance with one embodiment, this is provided a method for coordinating a specific subscribed service on a mobile communication device, comprising: registering the mobile communication device with a node; transmitting identification information to the node, the identification information including an identifier of a device, an identifier of a vendor, an identifier of a user, and an identifier of a subscribed service; receiving information from the node in response to the transmitting; and enabling the specific subscribed service in accordance with the received information.

1 . A method for coordinating a specific subscribed service on a mobile communication device, comprising:
 registering the mobile communication device with a node;   transmitting identification information to the node, the identification information including an identifier of a device, an identifier of a vendor, an identifier of a user, and an identifier of a subscribed service;   receiving information from the node in response to the transmitting; and   enabling the specific subscribed service in accordance with the received information.   
   
   
       2 . The method claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the identifier of a subscribed service comprises class of service information indicating one or more services to which a subscriber associated with the mobile communication device subscribes. 
   
   
       3 . The method claimed in  claim 1 , wherein enabling the specific subscribed service comprises processing a received instruction adapted to enable an application on the mobile communication device associated with the specific subscribed service. 
   
   
       4 . The method claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the specific subscribed service comprises a specific application on the mobile communication device. 
   
   
       5 . The method claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the identifier of a user comprises subscriber identity information which indentifies a specific user.

The method claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the received information comprises an instruction adapted to enable an application on the mobile communication device associated with the specific subscribed service, wherein the instruction is selected by the node in accordance with the identification information. 
   
   
       7 . A system for coordinating a specific subscribed service on mobile communication devices, comprising:
 a node; and   a mobile communication device in communication with the node, the mobile communication device comprising a processor which is configure to (1) register with the node, (2) transmit identification information to the node, the identification information including an identifier of a device, an identifier of a vendor, an identifier of a user, and an identifier of a subscribed service, and (3) enable the specific subscribed service in accordance with information received from the node in response to the transmitted identification information.

The system of  claim 7 , wherein the node is configured to select an instruction adapted to enable an application on the mobile communication device associated with the specific subscribed service in accordance with identification information received from the mobile communication device, and to transmit the instruction to the mobile communication device. 
   
   
       9 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the received information comprises the received instruction, wherein mobile communication device is configured to the enable the specific subscribed service by processing the received instruction. 
   
   
       10 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the identifier of a subscribed service comprises class of service information indicating one or more services to which a subscriber associated with the mobile communication device subscribes. 
   
   
       11 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the specific subscribed service comprises a specific application on the mobile communication device. 
   
   
       12 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the identifier of a user comprises subscriber identity information which indentifies a specific user.
