Method and Arrangement for Retransmitting and Processing and/or Displaying and/or Storing of Sound and/or Picture Contents
Abstract
A special instruction for not encoding a content is incorporated into access authorization data contained in the received signal, so that within a unified system for transmitting and receiving of encoded or non-encoded sound and/or picture contents, it is possible to meet the requirement of public broadcasting and “free-to-air” program providers for a non-encoded processing and/or display and/or storage of freely accessible contents for the end user. The instruction signalizes that the sound and/or picture contents, once received, must be available in the non-encoded form to the end user. The access authorization data remain added to the sound and/or picture contents, even in cases of a cascading, encoded retransmission, or remains logically linked thereto by suitable means, even if transmitted physically separate along with the picture and/or sound contents. During the processing and/or display and/or storage of the picture and/or sound contents retransmitted in the encoded form, the special instruction triggers a decoding of the picture and/or sound contents, at least at the end of the retransmission cascade.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for the retransmission as well as processing and/or display and/or storage of picture and/or sound contents of signals, received either encoded or non-encoded from optional transmission networks, wherein the received signal comprises a access authorization data for defining the permitted access to the picture and/or sound contents, characterized in that the access authorization data comprise a special instruction for not encoding the content, which signals that the sound and/or picture contents will be available non-encoded to the end user once it is received, that the access authorization data remain added to the sound and/or picture contents even with a possibly cascaded and encoded retransmission, if applicable, or remains logically linked thereto by suitable means, even if it is transmitted physically separate along with the picture and/or sound contents, and that for the processing and/or display and/or storage of the picture and/or sound contents transmitted in the encoded form, the special instruction triggers a decoding of the picture and/or sound contents at least at the end of the retransmission cascade.
2 . An arrangement for the retransmission as well as processing and/or display and/or storage of picture and/or sound contents of signals, received either encoded or non-encoded from optional transmission networks, wherein the received signal comprises a access authorization data for defining the permitted access to the picture and/or sound contents, characterized in that the access authorization data comprise a special instruction for not encoding the content, which signals that the sound and/or picture contents will be available non-encoded to the end user once it is received, that the access authorization data remain added to the sound and/or picture contents even with a possibly cascaded and encoded retransmission, if applicable, or remains logically linked thereto by suitable means, even if it is transmitted physically separate along with the picture and/or sound contents, and that for the processing and/or display and/or storage of the picture and/or sound contents transmitted in the encoded form, the special instruction triggers a decoding of the picture and/or sound contents at least at the end of the retransmission cascade.
3 . A device for the processing and/or display and/or storage of the picture and/or sound contents of signals, which are received either encoded or non-encoded from optional transmission networks and are then encoded and retransmitted according to the method disclosed in claim 1 , wherein the received signal comprises access authorization data which define the permitted use of the picture and/or sound contents, characterized in that the access authorization data comprise a special instruction for not encoding the contents, which instruction is read out and analyzed so as to trigger a decoding of the sound and/or picture contents during the processing and/or display and/or storage of the encoded and retransmitted picture and/or sound contents.Cited by (0)
