Abstract
A sleep system, for providing a bed, includes a frame with cross support members coupled with a first and second panel assembly. A sleep support mechanism operationally engages the first and second panel assemblies with one another and further engages a pad to provide adjusting support to the user. The sleep support mechanism employs a cone coupled with a first and second spring, the first and second spring further coupling with the first and second panel assemblies, and the cone engaging with the pad to provide the adjustable support capability.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A sleep support system, comprising:
a frame including cross support members; a first panel assembly and a second panel assembly, the first and second panel assemblies being coupled with the frame; a sleep support mechanism coupled with the first panel assembly and the second panel assembly, the sleep support mechanism for coupling with the first and second panel assemblies with one another, the sleep support mechanism including:
a first cone member including a first end and a second end, the first end being coupled with a pad;
a second cone member including an inner wall defining a recessed area and an outer wall, the second cone member coupling with the first cone member within the defined recessed area, the second cone member further including a first end operationally engaging with the first panel assembly and a second end coupled with the second panel assembly; and
an engagement member coupled with the outer wall of the second cone member proximal to the first end of the second cone member, the engagement member for operationally engaging the second cone member with the first panel assembly; and
a pad coupled with the sleep support mechanism, the pad for being engaged by a user, wherein the sleep support mechanism enables adjustable support provided by the pad of the sleep system and the first and second cone members provide adjustable support to the pad.
2 . The sleep system of claim 8 , further comprising a frame support mechanism.
3 . The sleep system of claim 8 , wherein the first and second panel assemblies include a plurality of panels.
4 . The sleep system of claim 8 , further comprising a container for packaging the sleep system.
5 . The sleep system of claim 8 , wherein the sleep support mechanism further comprises a retaining mechanism.
6 . The sleep system of claim 12 , wherein the retaining mechanism further comprises a retaining ring and an O-ring element.
7 . A sleep support system, comprising:
a frame including a plurality of side panels and end panels; a plurality of base supports coupled to the frame for providing support to the frame; a sleep support mechanism coupled with the frame, the sleep support mechanism being adjustable and including:
a plurality of first cone members, each first cone member including a first end and a second end, the first end being coupled with a pad; and
a cone column including a plurality of second cone members, each second cone member including an inner wall defining a recessed area and an outer wall, the second cone member coupling with the first cone member within the defined recessed area, the second cone member further including a first end operationally engaging with a column carrier; and
a pad coupled with the sleep support mechanism and the frame, the pad for being engaged by a user, wherein the first and second cone members provide adjustable support to the pad.
8 . The sleep system of claim 14 , wherein the sleep support mechanism further comprises a retaining mechanism.
9 . The sleep system of claim 15 , wherein the retaining mechanism further comprises a retaining ring and an O-ring element.
10 . The sleep system of claim 14 , wherein the column carrier includes a plurality of recesses, each recess providing an area in which the first end of each second cone member may operationally engage with the column carrier.
11 . The sleep system of claim 14 , wherein the perimeter of the frame which is to make contact with the pad includes padding material.
12 . The sleep system of claim 14 , wherein the portion of the sleep support mechanism which is coupled to the pad is covered with a fabric material.
13 . The sleep system of claim 14 , further comprising a container for packaging the sleep system.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
