Method of Cutting a Shape

Abstract

An electronic cutter includes a method of cutting a shape in a sheet. The method includes connecting a memory storage device to the electronic cutter and selecting a shape to be cut, the shape being selected from a set of shapes stored on the memory storage device. The method also includes displaying the shape on a graphical display, receiving an indication from a user to cut the shape displayed in the graphical display, and cutting the shape in the sheet.

         38 . A method of cutting a shape in a sheet with an electronic cutter, comprising:
 connecting a memory storage device to said electronic cutter;   selecting a shape to be cut, said shape being selected from a set of shapes stored on said memory storage device;   displaying said shape on a graphical display;   receiving an indication from a user to cut said shape displayed in said graphical display; and   cutting said shape in said sheet.   
     
     
         39 . The method of claim  1 , further comprising:
 receiving data from said memory storage device defining said shape for said cutting and defining said shape for said displaying.   
     
     
         40 . The method of claim  1 , wherein said shape comprises a plurality of shapes. 
     
     
         41 . The method of claim  1 , further comprising:
 selecting an enhancement to said shape.   
     
     
         42 . The method of  claim 41 , further comprising:
 displaying said enhancement on said graphical display.   
     
     
         43 . The method of  claim 41 , further comprising:
 visual selection of said enhancement form said graphical display.   
     
     
         44 . The method of claim  1 , further comprising:
 selecting a size of said shape; and   displaying a size of said shape.   
     
     
         45 . The method of claim  1 , further comprising:
 displaying a status of progress of said cutting.   
     
     
         46 . The method of claim  1 , further comprising:
 displaying at least one error message of said cutting.   
     
     
         47 . The method of claim  1 , further comprising:
 determining if said shape is too large to be cut from said sheet; and   indicating an error message to said user.
