Abstract
According to various aspects of the present disclosure, there are provided various embodiments of attachment members, hooks, hanger components, mounting systems, and related methods. In one exemplary embodiment, a system generally includes a track standard, a hanger component having at least two spaced-apart bar portions, and an attachment member slidably engagable to the track standard. The attachment member includes first and second recessed portions configured for trapping the corresponding spaced-apart bar portions between the track standard and the attachment member when the attachment member is engaged to the track standard. With this trapping, the attachment member and hanger component may be collectively slidably movable along the track standard.

A system comprising a track standard, a hanger component having at least two spaced-apart bar portions, and an attachment member slidably engagable to the track standard, the attachment member including first and second recessed portions configured for trapping the corresponding spaced-apart bar portions between the track standard and the attachment member when the attachment member is engaged to the track standard, to thereby retain the hanger component, whereby the attachment member and hanger component are collectively slidably movable along the track standard.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the attachment member includes upper and lower edge portions configured to be slidably engaged within respective upper and lower slots of the track standard.

The system of claim 2 , wherein each of the first and second recessed portions of the attachment member includes a generally C-shaped curve configured to trap the corresponding spaced-apart bar portion when the attachment member is engaged with the track standard, thereby inhibiting movement of the hanger component relative to the attachment member in a direction generally perpendicular to the sliding direction of the attachment member and hanger component along the track.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the track standard includes at least one hole for receiving at least one fastener such that the track standard is attachable to a support surface.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the hanger component includes at least one reduced width portion received within at least one of the first and second recessed portions of the attachment member when the attachment member is engaged with the track standard thereby inhibiting movement of the hanger component relative to the attachment member in a direction generally parallel to the sliding direction of the attachment member and hanger component along the track.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the hanger component includes at least one end portion forming at least one hook for supporting one or more items thereon.
7 . A system comprising a track standard, a hanger component having at least two spaced-apart bar portions, an attachment member having first and second recessed portions, and a track mount slidably engagable to the track standard, the first and second recessed portions being configured for trapping the corresponding spaced-apart bar portions between the attachment member and the track mount, whereby the track mount, attachment member, and hanger component are collectively slidably movable along the track standard.
8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the track mount includes upper and lower edge portions configured to be slidably engaged within respective upper and lower slots of the track standard.
9 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the attachment member includes tabs for engaging apertures in the track mount between the at least two spaced-apart bar portions.
10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the attachment member only engages the track mount between the at least two spaced-apart bar portions.
11 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the hanger component includes at least one reduced width portion received within at least one of the first and second recessed portions of the attachment member.
12 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the attachment member comprises a general C-shaped channel with spaced-apart side walls having tabs for engaging apertures of the track mount.
13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein a notch is defined between the tabs and the corresponding side wall, the notch configured to receive a portion of the track mount such that engagement of the notch with the track mount established a friction fit of the spaced-apart bar portions between the attachment member and the track mount.
14 . A method comprising mounting a track mount to a track standard such that the track mount is slidably movable along the track standard, and mounting an attachment member to the track mount by engaging tabs of the attachment member with apertures of the track mount such that at least two spaced-apart wire portions of a hanger component are trapped between the track mount and corresponding spaced-apart recessed portions of the attachment member, whereby the attachment member and hanger component are retained to the track mount.
15 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising collectively sliding the track mount, attachment member, and hanger component along the track standard.
16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein mounting the track mount to the track standard includes slidably engaging upper and lower edge portions of the track mount within respective upper and lower slots of the track standard.
17 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising attaching the track standard to a support surface.
18 . The method of claim 14 , wherein mounting the attachment member to the track mount includes engaging the tabs of the attachment member with apertures of the track mount only between the at least two spaced-apart bar portions of the hanger component.
19 . A method comprising mounting an attachment member to a track standard such that at least two spaced-apart wire portions of a hanger component are trapped between the track standard and corresponding spaced-apart recessed portions of the attachment member, whereby the attachment member and hanger component are collectively slidably movable along the track standard.
20 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising attaching the track standard to a support surface.
21 . The method of claim 19 , wherein each of the first and second recessed portions includes a generally C-shaped curve adapted to trap one of the at least two spaced-apart bar portions.
22 . The method of claim 19 , wherein the attachment member includes upper and lower edge portions configured to be slidably engaged within respective upper and lower slots of the track standard.
23 . The method of claim 22 , wherein mounting the attachment member includes slidably engaging the upper and lower edge portions of the attachment member within the corresponding upper and lower slots of the track standard.
