Abstract

An insulin syringe storage rack comprised of: a top layer, a middle layer, and a bottom layer, each substantially parallel to one another, a first side surface and a second side surface supporting the top layer, middle layer, and bottom layer. The top layer and middle layer each have a series of apertures, with each aperture on the top layer having a corresponding aperture on the middle layer and adapted to receive and vertically position an insulin syringe within one (1) of the apertures on the top layer and one (1) of the apertures on the middle layer. The rack is intended for use within a refrigerator and includes sufficient surface area between the apertures and/or between the apertures and the edge of the top surface to allow writing, a label, or other indicia to be positioned to indicate information about one (1) or more of the syringes. The rack can further include one (1) or more additional horizontal support layers.

1 . A syringe storage rack comprised of:
 a first side surface, said first side surface being substantially vertical;   a second side surface, said second side surface being substantially vertical;   a bottom layer, said bottom layer being substantially horizontal and extending between said first side surface and said second side surface;   a middle layer, said middle layer being substantially horizontal, positioned above said bottom layer, and extending between said first side surface and said second side surface;   a first plurality of apertures sized to receive an insulin syringe positioned on said middle layer;   a top layer, said top layer being substantially horizontal and positioned above said middle layer; and   a second plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe disposed on said top layer, each of said second plurality of apertures corresponding with one of said first plurality of apertures and each of said first plurality of apertures and said second plurality of apertures adapted to receive and vertically support said insulin syringe.   
   
   
       2 . The syringe storage rack of  claim 1 , wherein said syringe storage rack further includes one or more additional storage receptacles for receiving at least one medical object selected from a group comprised of an alcohol jar, insulin packaging, an insulin box, an insulin vial, a swab, cotton balls, an adhesive bandage, testing equipment, a glucometer, an empty syringe, an unused syringe, a physician's instructions, a phone number, a list of medical symptoms, emergency information, a writing instrument, and combinations thereof. 
   
   
       3 . The syringe storage rack of  claim 1 , wherein said top layer extends from said first side surface to said second side surface or wherein said top layer extends only partly between said first side surface and said second side surface.

The syringe storage rack of  claim 1 , wherein said syringe storage rack further includes at least one additional horizontal support layer, each of said at least one additional horizontal support layer extending between said first side surface and said second side surface or only partly from said first side surface to said second side surface. 
   
   
       5 . The syringe storage rack of  claim 1 , wherein said bottom layer has at least one depression for receiving said insulin syringe, each of said at least on depressions corresponding with said first plurality of apertures on said middle surface and said second plurality of apertures on said bottom surface. 
   
   
       6 . The syringe storage rack of  claim 1 , wherein said syringe storage rack is made of a material selected from a group comprised of plastic, metal, wood, and combinations thereof. 
   
   
       7 . The syringe storage rack of  claim 1 , wherein said syringe storage rack is adapted to be used within a refrigerator. 
   
   
       8 . The syringe storage rack of  claim 1 , wherein said top surface further includes at least one space for disposing indicia thereon, said indicia being selected from a group comprised of a writing, a printing, and at least one label. 
   
   
       9 . A syringe storage rack comprised of:
 a first side surface, said first side surface being substantially vertical;   a second side surface, said second side surface being substantially vertical;   a bottom layer, said bottom layer being substantially horizontal and extending between said first side surface and said second side surface;   a middle layer, said middle layer being substantially horizontal, positioned above said bottom layer, and extending between said first side surface and said second side surface;   a first plurality of apertures sized to receive an insulin syringe positioned on said middle layer;   a top layer, said top layer being substantially horizontal and positioned above said middle layer; and   a second plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe disposed on said top layer, each of said second plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe corresponding with one of said first plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe and each of said first plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe and said second plurality of apertures adapted to receive and vertically support said insulin syringe;   wherein said syringe storage rack is adapted to be placed in a refrigerator.   
   
   
       10 . The syringe storage rack of  claim 9 , wherein said syringe storage rack further includes one or more additional storage receptacles for receiving at least one medical object selected from a group comprised of an alcohol jar, insulin packaging, an insulin box, an insulin vial, a swab, cotton balls, an adhesive bandage, testing equipment, a glucometer, an empty syringe, an unused syringe, a physician's instructions, a phone number, a list of medical symptoms, emergency information, a writing instrument, and combinations thereof. 
   
   
       11 . The syringe storage rack of  claim 9 , wherein said top layer extends from said first side surface to said second side surface or wherein said top layer extends only partly between said first side surface and said second side surface.

The syringe storage rack of  claim 9 , wherein said syringe storage rack further includes at least one additional horizontal support layer, each of said at least one additional horizontal support layer extending between said first side surface and said second side surface or only partly from said first side surface to said second side surface.

The syringe storage rack of  claim 9 , wherein said bottom layer has at least one depression for receiving said insulin syringe, each of said at least on depressions corresponding with said first plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe on said middle surface and said second plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe on said bottom surface. 
   
   
       14 . The syringe storage rack of  claim 9 , wherein said syringe storage rack is made of a material selected from a group comprised of plastic, metal, wood, and combinations thereof. 
   
   
       15 . The syringe storage rack of  claim 9 , wherein said top surface further includes at least one space for disposing indicia thereon, said indicia being selected from a group comprised of a writing, a printing, and at least one label. 
   
   
       16 . An insulin syringe storage rack comprised of:
 a first side surface, said first side surface being substantially vertical;   a second side surface, said second side surface being substantially vertical;   a bottom layer, said bottom layer being substantially horizontal and extending between said first side surface and said second side surface;   a middle layer, said middle layer being substantially horizontal, positioned above said bottom layer, and extending between said first side surface and said second side surface;   a first plurality of apertures sized to receive an insulin syringe positioned on said middle layer;   a top layer, said top layer being substantially horizontal and positioned above said middle layer and comprised of at least one space for disposing indicia thereon, said indicia being selected from a group comprised of a writing, a printing, and at least one label; and   a second plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe disposed on said top layer, each of said second plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe corresponding with one of said first plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe and each of said first plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe and said second plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe adapted to receive and vertically support said insulin syringe;   wherein said syringe storage rack is adapted to be placed in a refrigerator.   
   
   
       17 . The insulin syringe storage rack of  claim 16 , wherein said top layer extends from said first side surface to said second side surface or wherein said top layer extends only partly between said first side surface and said second side surface.

The insulin syringe storage rack of  claim 16 , wherein said insulin syringe storage rack further includes at least one additional horizontal support layer, each of said at least one additional horizontal support layer extending between said first side surface and said second side surface or only partly between said first side surface and said second side surface.

The insulin syringe storage rack of  claim 16 , wherein said bottom layer has at least one depression for receiving said insulin syringe, each of said at least on depressions corresponding with said first plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe on said middle surface and said second plurality of apertures sized to receive said insulin syringe on said bottom surface. 
   
   
       20 . The insulin syringe storage rack of  claim 16 , wherein said syringe storage rack is made of a material selected from a group comprised of plastic, metal, wood, and combinations thereof.

The insulin syringe storage rack of  claim 16 , wherein said syringe storage rack further includes one or more additional storage receptacles for receiving at least one medical object selected from a group comprised of an alcohol jar, insulin packaging, an insulin box, an insulin vial, a swab, cotton balls, an adhesive bandage, testing equipment, a glucometer, an empty syringe, an unused syringe, a physician's instructions, a phone number, a list of medical symptoms, emergency information, a writing instrument, and combinations thereof.
