Abstract
An emulsion cosmetic composition comprising at least one resveratrol derivative, an aqueous phase, and an oil phase having at and at least one oil phase structuring agent, and a method for preparing emulsions capable of delivering active resveratrol to the skin.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An emulsion cosmetic composition comprising resveratrol mono-, di-, or triphosphate, an aqueous phase, and an oil phase having at least one oil phase structuring agent.
2 . The composition of claim 1 wherein the resveratrol phosphate is neutralized with a metal salt.
3 . The composition of claim 2 wherein the metal salt is sodium and the resveratrol triphosphate is trisodium resveratrol triphosphate.
4 . An emulsion cosmetic composition comprising a resveratrol derivative having the general formula:
wherein X, Y, and Z are each independently hydrogen or a protective group, provided that at least one of X, Y, or Z is a protective group wherein the protective group is selected from:
(a) an inorganic acid functional group which is phosphate, sulfonate, carbonate, or combinations thereof,
(b) —C(O)—R 1 wherein R 1 is a linear, branched, saturated or unsaturated, or cyclic C 1 -C 40 alkyl, substituted C 1 -C 40 alkyl, C 1 -C 40 alkenyl, substituted C 1 -C 40 alkenyl, C 1 -C 40 alkynyl, substituted C 1 -C 40 alkynyl, aryl, C 1 -C 40 aryl, or C 1 -C 40 substituted aryl carboxylic acid ester; where the substituents are selected from C 1-40 straight or branched chain, saturated or unsaturated alkyl, halogen, alkoxy, hydroxyl;
(c) amine or amide;
(d) —R 2 wherein R 2 is selected from the group consisting of linear, branched or cyclic C 1 -C 40 alkyl, substituted C 1 -C 40 alkyl, C 1 -C 40 alkenyl, substituted C 1 -C 40 alkenyl, C 1 -C 40 alkynyl, substituted C 1 -C 40 alkynyl, C 1 -C 40 aryl, substituted C 1 -C 40 aryl, and mono-, di-, oligo-, and polysaccharides; or
combinations thereof.
5 . The composition of claim 4 wherein the oil phase structuring agent comprises at least one of a silicone gum, non-emulsifying silicone elastomer, silicone wax, natural wax, or mixtures thereof.
6 . The composition of claim 4 wherein the oil phase structuring agent comprises at least one silicone gum having a viscosity ranging from about 500,000 to 100 million centistokes at 25° C.
7 . The composition of claim 4 wherein the oil phase structuring agent additionally comprises one or more fatty acids or fatty alcohols and one or more botanical extracts.

The composition of claim 4 in the oil and water emulsion form comprising water; an oil phase comprising a liquid silicone and at least one liquid plant oil; an oil phase structuring agent which is a silicone gum, non-emulsifying silicone elastomer, or silicone wax; one or more botanical extracts; and an aqueous phase structuring agent which is an acrylate-based polymer, a polysaccharide or mixtures thereof.
9 . The composition of claim 8 in the oil in water emulsion form and wherein the silicone elastomer comprises Polysilicone-11; the acrylate based polymer comprises acrylate or methacrylate groups or mixtures thereof.

The composition of claim 4 in the oil and water emulsion form comprising water; an oil phase comprising dimethicone and at least one glyceryl ester of a fatty acid; an oil phase structuring agent comprising a natural wax; one or more botanical extracts; and at least one humectant selected from a monomeric or polymeric alkylene glycol, sugars, or mixtures thereof.
11 . The composition of claim 10 in the oil in water emulsion form.

The composition of claim 4 in the oil and water emulsion form comprising water; an aqueous phase structuring agent comprising a polysaccharide; an oil phase comprising at least one mono-, di-, or triester; an oil phase structuring agent comprising at least one natural or synthetic wax; at least one botanical extract; and at least one particulate.
13 . The composition of claim 12 in the oil in water emulsion form wherein the at least one particulate comprises titanium dioxide.
14 . The composition of claim 4 in the oil and water emulsion form comprising water; an aqueous phase structuring agent comprising an acrylate based polymer; an oil phase comprising at least one of a silicone or hydrocarbon; an oil phase structuring agent comprising at least one silicone elastomer; and at least one vitamin or vitamin derivative.
15 . The composition of claim 14 in the oil in water emulsion form further comprising at least one humectant that is a sugar.

The composition of claim 4 in the oil and water emulsion form comprising water; an aqueous phase structuring agent that is a polysaccharide or acrylate based polymer; an oil phase comprising a mixture of volatile and non-volatile silicones; an oil phase structuring agent comprising a high melting point natural or synthetic non-silicone wax; at least one humectant; and at least one particulate in the form of pigment or powder.

The composition of claim 4 in the oil and water emulsion form comprising water, an oil phase comprising at least one glyceryl ester of a fatty acid; an oil phase structuring agent comprising at least one natural or synthetic organic wax; at least one humectant; and at least one nonionic organic surfactant.
18 . The composition of claim 17 wherein the nonionic organic surfactant comprises an alkylene oxide.
19 . The composition of claim 4 which is a skin cream, lotion, or makeup, further comprising one or more chemical sunscreens.
20 . A method for preparing a stable water and oil emulsion capable of delivering active resveratrol to the skin comprising incorporating into the emulsion a resveratrol derivative where one or more of the hydroxyl groups are protected and incorporating at least one oil phase structuring agent into the oil phase.Cited by (0)
