Abstract

Apparatus for use with a hand manipulable flowable material dispenser, the combination comprising a dispensing nozzle associated with the dispenser to dispense material, and a spreader surface associated with the nozzle whereby the dispenser may be manipulated to cause the spreader surface to spread material dispensed via the nozzle, and the spreader surface can be used to spread material around after it is dispensed.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A nozzle for attachment to a dispenser for dispensing material, the nozzle comprising:
 a) a fitting at a first end to facilitate attachment to the dispenser; b) a second end opposite the first end and further comprising a plurality of openings through which material is dispensed; and c) at least one guide associated with the second end for guiding the dispensed material through the plurality of openings.

2 . The nozzle of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of angled guides that define a multi-directional flow path for the dispensed material.

3 . The nozzle of claim 2 , wherein the angled guides are defined between the openings.

4 . The nozzle of claim 3 , wherein the plurality of openings are laterally aligned along the second end and further comprise a central opening defined between a pair of peripheral openings that create opposing flow paths for the dispensed material.

5 . The nozzle of claim 1 , wherein the at least one guide further comprises a plurality of angled protrusions.

6 . The nozzle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of openings further comprises a central opening and a plurality of angled openings on opposite sides of the central opening.

7 . The nozzle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of openings further comprises an interconnected series of angled openings.

8 . The nozzle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of openings are arranged in a triangular pattern around a central region of the second end.

9 . The nozzle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of openings are laterally aligned along the second end and further comprise a central opening defined between two pairs of other openings.

10 . The nozzle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of openings are laterally arranged along the second end and offset from a diameter thereof.

11 . The nozzle of claim 1 , wherein the at least one guide further comprises a flow block over which dispensed material must travel that sprays and spreads the dispensed material.

12 . The nozzle of claim 1 , wherein the fitting is snap-engagable with the dispenser.

13 . The nozzle of claim 12 , wherein the fitting further comprises flexible flanges inserted into the dispenser that impede separation of the nozzle from the dispenser.

14 . The nozzle of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of openings are angled to define a louver system across the second end.

15 . The nozzle of claim 1 , wherein the nozzle is twist openable such that material is dispensable through the plurality of openings when the nozzle is twisted open, but is prevented from being dispensed when the nozzle is twisted closed.

16 . A nozzle for attachment to a dispenser for dispensing material, the nozzle comprising:
 a) a fitting at a first end to facilitate attachment to the dispenser; b) a second end opposite the first end and further comprising at least one second end opening through which material is dispensed; and c) a peripheral edge defined between the first end and the second end and further comprising at least one peripheral edge opening through which material is dispensed.

17 . The nozzle of claim 16 , wherein material dispensed from the at least one second end opening flows in a different direction than material dispensed from the at least one peripheral edge opening.

18 . The nozzle of claim 17 , further comprising a plurality of peripheral edge openings.

19 . An elongated nozzle for attachment to a dispenser for dispensing material, the elongated nozzle comprising:
 a) a fitting at a first end to facilitate attachment to the dispenser; b) a second end opposite the first end and spaced in an elongated fashion therefrom and further comprising at least one opening through which material is dispensed; and c) a brush extending from the second end for spreading material dispensed through the at least one opening.

20 . The elongated nozzle of claim 19 , further comprising a heat shield for protecting a region around the fitting.
