Abstract

The combination scooter/backpack is an article carrying device with the capacity to be converted into a wheeled land vehicle, and therefore has two modes of usage. The article carrying device resembles a conventional backpack with two straps positioned to be placed over the user's shoulders, entitled backpack mode. The wheeled land vehicle functions as a popular collapsible scooter, two wheels mounted upon a board member with propulsion means provided by user's contact with the ground, entitled scooter mode. A horizontal handlebar is positioned at the top of the combination and serves to steer the front wheel during scooter mode. Conversion between backpack mode and scooter mode is accomplished with the raising and lowering of said handlebar and the manipulation of releasable fasteners and latches. In both backpack and scooter modes, a cover circumferentially surrounds the combination scooter/backpack to secure and protect components that are not in use.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 : A wheeled carrier, comprising:
a container including a rigid frame configured to support the container; a supporting unit including a wheel, the supporting unit pivotable between a first position and a second position, wherein in the first position the supporting unit is arranged close to the container, and in the second position, the supporting unit is extending away from the container; a handle including a first column, the first column slidably attached to the container and configured to be moved upwards and downwards away and towards the container; a cover configured to embrace the supporting unit when the supporting unit is in the first position.

2 : The wheeled carrier according to claim 1 , wherein the cover further includes:
a first attachment unit located on one end of said cover; wherein the first attachment unit is configured to be releasably attached to a first location of the container, and another end of said cover is attached to a second location of the container.

3 : The wheeled carrier according to claim 2 , wherein the first and second locations are arranged on opposite side walls of the container.

4 : The wheeled carrier according to claim 2 , wherein the cover is further configured to wrap around the container when the supporting unit is in the second position.

5 : The wheeled carrier according to claim 4 , wherein the container further includes:
carrier strap configured to allow a user to carry the wheeled carrier; wherein said cover is further configured to secure the carrier straps to the container.

6 : The wheeled carrier according to claim 4 , wherein the container further includes
second attachment units that are configured to engage with the first attachment units, wherein the second attachment units can be used to either hold the cover to wrap around the container, or embrace the supporting unit when the supporting unit is in the first position.

7 : The wheeled carrier according to claim 1 , further comprising:
said container including a front side, two lateral sides, and a back side, wherein the back side includes the rigid frame configured to support the container; said supporting unit arranged close to the container along the back side of the container when the supporting unit is in the first position, and supporting unit extends away from the back side of the container when the supporting unit is in the second position; and a shoulder strap located on at least one of the front side or the lateral sides of the container, wherein the shoulder strap is configured for carrying the wheeled container by a user, so that a user's back is positioned on the front side or the lateral sides of the container, and is not in contact with the supporting unit.

8 : The wheeled carrier according to claim 7 , further comprising:
a cover configured to embrace the supporting unit around the back side of the container, when the supporting unit is in the first position.

9 : The wheeled carrier according to claim 8 , wherein the cover is further configured to wrap around the shoulder strap when the supporting unit is in the second position.
