Intelligent pluggable optical transceiver
Abstract
The present invention is to provide an intelligent pluggable transceiver improving an EMI tolerance with a simple mechanism. The optical transceiver of the invention comprises upper and lower housings ( 11, 12 ), a holder ( 81 ), optical assemblies ( 51, 61 ), a cover ( 14 ), a substrate ( 15 ) and a grip ( 13 ). The optical assemblies are fixed with the upper and lower housings together with the holder with interposing the conductive elastic member. Although the rear end of the substrate exposes outside the transceiver, the shield gasket and the ground pattern on the substrate shields the contact portion between the substrate and the upper housing and between the substrate and the cover. Moreover, the grip and the latch lever installed in the lower housing, and the elastic piece realize the latching/releasing mechanism of the transceiver with the host system.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 15 . (canceled)
16 . An optical transceiver having strengthened tolerance to electro-magnetic-induced noise, said transceiver comprising:
a metal upper housing including a shield gasket at a rear end thereof; an optical assembly; and a substrate including first, second and third portions, said first and second portions installing an electronic circuit communicating with said optical assembly, said substrate providing a first conductor on a first surface facing said metal upper housing, said first conductor extending from a side to the other side of said substrate so as to divide said third portion from said first and second portions, wherein said shield gasket of said upper housing comes in uniform contact with said first conductor to prevent noise generated by said electronic circuit from radiating from said first and second portions to said third portion, and to prevent noise from invading said first and second portions from said third portion.
17 . The optical transceiver according to claim 16 ,
wherein said substrate further provides a second conductor in a second surface opposite to said first surface so as to divide said third portion from said first and second portions, and wherein said second conductor is electrically connected with said first conductor by a via-hole within said substrate.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
