Abstract

This version of the invention is concerned with the field of devices and that provide the appearance of longer or thicker hair and more specifically, a self-applicable integrated hair addition having a central opening therethrough which is adapted to be intermingled with the natural hair of a wearer to supplement it in those areas which ordinarily are thin or thinning due to hair loss or other causes. A foundation having a substantially elliptical configuration is structured to fit in overlying relation adjacent a frontal portion of the head of the wearer and an extension portion formed of light, flexible material structured for ventilation of the natural hair of the wearer therethrough extends rearwardly of the foundation into the central opening to add additional body to the natural styling of hair and versatility by providing additional hair capable of extending over a greater portion of the natural hair of the wearer. Supplemental hair, either natural or artificial, of selected color, texture, length and style are attached to the wefts of the construction.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A self-applicable integrated hair addition designed to be partially integrated with the natural hair of a wearer comprising:
a construction which is at least primarily formed of adjacent wefts having openings therebetween, the openings being sufficient to form a pattern of openings over the crown of the foundation, at least most of which openings are of sufficient size to permit a cluster of the wearers natural hair which is to be integrated to be pulled therethrough and having supplemental hair wefts attached to the rest of the foundation with little to no openings; said construction having a perimeter, with at least one element on said perimeter which allows the foundation to be fitted onto the crown of the wearers head by the wearer and to be maintained on the wearers head; and supplemental hair of selected color, texture, length and style attached to the wefts of said foundation.

2 . A self-applicable integrated hair addition as claimed in claim 1 wherein said at least one element includes a securing comb attached to at least a rear portion of said perimeter.

3 . A self-applicable integrated hair addition as claimed in claim 1 wherein said openings in the crown construction of the foundation are of substantially uniform size over said crown construction.

4 . A self-applicable integrated hair addition as claimed in claim 1 wherein said openings in the crown construction are larger in the crown areas of the construction and having little to no openings in the second and/or rest of the foundation.

5 . A self-applicable integrated hair addition as claimed in claim 1 wherein each said opening has an area in a range of approximately 0.5 square inches to 2 square inches.

6 . A self-applicable integrated hair addition as claimed in claim 4 wherein said crown areas of the construction are areas at a top of the construction and/or foundation and wherein second areas are areas at a back and sides of the construction and/or foundation.

7 . A self-applicable integrated hair addition as claimed in claim 1 wherein said second areas having supplemental hair wefts attached at one end with little to no openings.

8 . A self-applicable integrated hair addition as claimed in claim 7 wherein said second areas having supplemental hair wefts attached being that of natural or synthetic hair fibers.

9 . A self-applicable integrated hair addition as claimed in claim 1 wherein the wearer positions the said hair addition onto the crown of the head.

10 . A self-applicable integrated hair addition as claimed in claim 1 wherein the integrated crown area of the construction is 2 square inches to 4 square inches.
