Buckle
Abstract
A buckle includes a female buckle member, which has a top-open receiving chamber, a front receiving portion, and a rear locating groove for the mounting of a fastening member to fasten the female buckle member to a product, a male buckle member, which has a base fitting a front side of the female buckle member, a rear mounting hole in the rear bottom side of the base for the mounting of a cord member, and a plug extending from the front side of the base and insertable through the front receiving portion into the top-open receiving chamber to lock the male buckle member to the female buckle member, and an operating member, which has a middle part pivoted to the female buckle member, a front press portion, a rear finger strip covered over the locating groove of the female buckle member for lifting by the user to turn the front press portion downwards and to further force the plug of the male buckle member away from the front receiving portion of the female buckle member, and two vertical bottom walls respectively stopped at the top side of the female buckle member to keep the rear finger strip above the female buckle member at a distance for easy grasp by the user.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A buckle comprising:
a female buckle member, said female buckle member comprising a top-open receiving chamber, a front receiving portion at a front side of said top-open receiving chamber, a receiving hole disposed in communication with said top-open receiving chamber, a guide groove in a top side of said receiving hole, and a locating groove disposed in a rear side of said top-open receiving chamber for the mounting of a fastening member to fasten said female buckle member to a first external device; a male buckle member connectable to said female buckle member, said male buckle member comprising a base fitting a front side of said front receiving portion of said female buckle member, a rear mounting hole in a rear bottom side of said base for the mounting of a second external device, and a plug extending from a front side of said base and insertable through said receiving hole of said front receiving portion of said female buckle member into said top-open receiving chamber to lock said male buckle member to said female buckle member, and said plug comprising an opening, a retaining spring plate extending from a front side thereof and suspending above said opening, a beveled front face sloping obliquely downwardly to the front side of said plug, and a stop face at a back side of said beveled front face; and an operating member pivoted to said female buckle member for releasing said plug from said front receiving portion of said female buckle member, said operating member comprising a front press portion for pressing on said retaining spring plate of said plug to force said plug away from said front receiving portion of said female buckle member, a rear finger strip extending from a rear side thereof and covering over said locating groove of said female buckle member for lifting by an external lifting force to force said front press portion against said plug of said male buckle member, and two vertical bottom walls disposed at two opposite lateral sides thereof and respectively stopped at a top side of said female buckle member to keep said rear finger strip above said female buckle member at a distance.
2 . The buckle as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said female buckle member comprises a bottom opening in a bottom side of said top-open receiving chamber, and a bearing plate suspending in said top-open receiving chamber above said bottom opening for supporting said plug of said male buckle member after insertion of said plug through said front receiving portion of said female buckle member into said top-open receiving chamber.
3 . The buckle as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said female buckle member comprises two pivot holes bilaterally disposed at two opposite sides in said top-open receiving chamber; said operating member comprises two pivot rods symmetrically disposed at two opposite lateral sides thereof and respectively pivoted to said pivot holes of said female buckle member.
