Multi-Path Gateway Communications Device

Abstract

Methods, systems, and apparatuses are disclosed for enabling a virtual personalized network. Communications are established with a personal digital gateway to control access, sharing, security, and/or management of up-to-date personalized data exchanged between or among a plurality of associated communications devices and/or communications networks. The associated communications devices are owned, operated, and/or accessed by a common user.

1 . A method of processing data, comprising:
 receiving the data associated with a communications device;   accessing a database of profiles;   retrieving a profile associated with the communications device;   integrating the data into the profile; and   communicating the integrated data and the profile to the communications device.   
   
   
       2 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising retrieving a presentation format from the profile. 
   
   
       3 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising retrieving a rule from the profile. 
   
   
       4 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising retrieving a communications medium from the profile. 
   
   
       5 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising querying a list of contacts stored in the profile when a picture is detected. 
   
   
       6 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising emailing a list of contacts stored in the profile when a picture is detected. 
   
   
       7 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising querying for remote data. 
   
   
       8 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising querying for linked data. 
   
   
       9 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising receiving an updated profile from the communications device. 
   
   
       10 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising indicating a specific version of the data in the profile. 
   
   
       11 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising time stamping the data to indicate a version. 
   
   
       12 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising compressing the data. 
   
   
       13 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising encrypting the data. 
   
   
       14 . A system for processing data, comprising:
 means for receiving the data associated with a communications device;   means for accessing a database of profiles;   means for retrieving a profile associated with the communications device;   means for integrating the data into the profile; and   means for communicating the integrated data and the profile to the communications device.   
   
   
       15 . The system according to  claim 14 , further comprising means for retrieving a presentation format from the profile. 
   
   
       16 . The system according to  claim 14 , further comprising means for retrieving a rule from the profile. 
   
   
       17 . The system according to  claim 14 , further comprising means for retrieving a communications medium from the profile. 
   
   
       18 . The system according to  claim 14 , further comprising means for querying a list of contacts stored in the profile when a picture is detected. 
   
   
       19 . The system according to  claim 14 , further comprising means for emailing a list of contacts stored in the profile when a picture is detected. 
   
   
       20 . A computer readable memory storing processor executable instructions for performing a method of processing data, the method comprising:
 receiving the data associated with a communications device;   accessing a database of profiles;   retrieving a profile associated with the communications device;   integrating the data into the profile; and   communicating the integrated data and the profile to the communications device.
