Abstract
The present invention is to provide the multi-domain system IPS (In-Plane Switching mode) liquid crystal display which has high contrast and does not have an improper image display. According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a black matrix formed between a pair of substrates and formed over a plurality of drain lines and gate lines, a plurality of spaces arranged under the black matrix, wherein a plurality of liquid crystal molecules lined to a boundary direction of the black matrix in “OFF” state, and having a first group and a second group in “ON” state, wherein a switching angle of the second group is opposite to a switching angle of the first group.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A liquid crystal display device comprising:
first and second substrates with a liquid crystal layer therebetween; a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of drain lines formed on the first substrate; and a plurality of pixel region are defined by the gate lines and the drain line, wherein the pixel regions are arranged into a linear shape in the direction along the drain signal line and are arranged at the position that shifted by half-pitch in a direction along the gate signal line, a plurality of spacers are formed on the second substrate, and the spacer is arranged on a gate signal line.
2 . A liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein a shading film is formed on the second substrate and the shading film is formed on the gate signal line and the drain signal line.
3 . A liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein the gate signal line is formed into a linear shape, and the drain signal line is bent whenever the drain signal line crosses the gate signal line.
4 . A liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein an orientation film is formed on the first and second substrate, an initial orientation angle is parallel to the gate signal line.
5 . A liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein each pixel region has a pixel electrode and a reference electrode and drives liquid crystal by a In-Plane Switching mode.
6 . A liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 , wherein the spacer is not formed by all pixel region.Cited by (0)
