Abstract
A method of transferring data is provided. The method of transferring data in a data interoperable environment includes: receiving a data transmission request message for requesting the data to be transmitted from a client to at least one destination; gathering information on entities which are to participate in the transmission of the data; and forming a plurality of chains including at least two entities based on the gathered information on the entities and transmitting the data to the at least one destination through the plurality of chains. Accordingly, it is possible to effectively transmit data using multi-chains in a DRM interoperable environment.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 16 . (canceled)
17 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
receiving a transmission request message for requesting data comprising at least one content or at least one license to be transmitted to a destination; querying entities for capability information associated with each entity; receiving the capability information; accessing capability data describing a capability of source, intermediate and destination devices, and a Digital Rights Management (DRM) system, using the received capability information; forming chains that each include at least two entities, based on the accessed information; and transmitting the data to the destination using the chains.
18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the at least two entities forming the chains, comprise:
an exporter configured to: export the data from a source, and transmit the exported data; a transformer configured to: transform the transmitted, exported data into a data format supported by a destination, transmit the transformed data; and an importer configured to: receive the transmitted, transformed data, and transmit the received data to the destination.
19 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the at least two entities forming the chains, comprises:
an exporter configured to: export the data from a source, and transmit the exported data; and an importer configured to: receive the transmitted, exported data, and transmit the received data to a destination.
20 . The method of claim 17 , wherein transmitting the data further comprises:
forming a primary chain including an exporter and a transformer; transmitting the data from the exporter to the transformer using the primary chain; forming at least one secondary chain including the transformer and an importer; and transmitting the data from the transformer to the importer using the at least one secondary chain.
21 . A device comprising:
an interface configured to:
receive a transmission request message for requesting data comprising at least one content or at least one license to be transmitted to a destination,
receive capability information, and
transmit data to the destination using formed chains; and
a processor configured to:
query entities for the capability information associated with each entity,
access capability data describing a capability of source, intermediate and destination devices, and a Digital Rights Management (DRM) system, using the received capability information, and
form the chains that each include at least two entities, based on the accessed information.
22 . The device of claim 21 , wherein the at least two entities forming the chains, comprise:
an exporter configured to: export the data from a source, and transmit the exported data; a transformer configured to: transform the transmitted, exported data into a data format supported by a destination, transmit the transformed data; and an importer configured to: receive the transmitted, transformed data, and transmit the received data to the destination.
23 . The device of claim 21 , wherein the at least two entities forming the chains, comprises:
an exporter configured to: export the data from a source, and transmit the exported data; and an importer configured to: receive the transmitted, exported data, and transmit the received data to a destination.
24 . The device of claim 21 , wherein transmitting the data further comprises:
forming a primary chain including an exporter and a transformer; transmitting the data from the exporter to the transformer using the primary chain; forming at least one secondary chain including the transformer and an importer; and transmitting the data from the transformer to the importer using the at least one secondary chain.
25 . A system comprising:
one or more computers; and a computer-readable medium coupled to the one or more computers having instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the one or more computers, causes the one or more computers to perform operations comprising:
receiving a transmission request message for requesting data comprising at least one content or at least one license to be transmitted to a destination,
querying entities for capability information associated with each entity,
receiving the capability information,
accessing capability data describing a capability of source, intermediate and destination devices, and a Digital Rights Management (DRM) system, using the received capability information,
forming chains that each include at least two entities, based on the accessed information, and
transmitting the data to the destination using the chains.
26 . The system of claim 25 , wherein the at least two entities forming the chains, comprise:
an exporter configured to: export the data from a source, and transmit the exported data; a transformer configured to: transform the transmitted, exported data into a data format supported by a destination, transmit the transformed data; and an importer configured to: receive the transmitted, transformed data, and transmit the received data to the destination.
27 . The system of claim 25 , wherein the at least two entities forming the chains, comprises:
an exporter configured to: export the data from a source, and transmit the exported data; and an importer configured to: receive the transmitted, exported data, and transmit the received data to a destination.
28 . The system of claim 25 , wherein transmitting the data further comprises:
forming a primary chain including an exporter and a transformer; transmitting the data from the exporter to the transformer using the primary chain; forming at least one secondary chain including the transformer and an importer; and transmitting the data from the transformer to the importer using the at least one secondary chain.Cited by (0)
