Abstract

The present invention provides compositions and methods for treating or preventing vascular-associated disorders.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
- 53 . (canceled)

. A method for treating a disorder associated with platelet activation in a subject, the method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:5.

. A method for treating venous or coronary artery thrombosis in a subject in need thereof comprising administering to the subject a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:5.

. The method of claim 54 , wherein the disorder is selected from the group consisting of restenosis, ischemic heart disease, angina, unstable angina, atherosclerosis, acute myocardial infarction, or vascular inflammation.

. The method of claim 56 , wherein the disorder is restenosis.

. The method of claim 56 , wherein the disorder is angina.

. The method of claim 58 , wherein the disorder is unstable angina.

. The method of claim 56 , wherein the disorder is ischemic heart disease.

. The method of claim 56 , wherein the disorder is atherosclerosis.

. The method of claim 56 , wherein the disorder is acute myocardial infarction.

. The method of claim 56 , wherein the disorder is vascular inflammation.

. The method of claim 54 , wherein the method further comprises administering a compound selected from the group consisting of acetylsalicylic acid, heparin, and clopidogrel.

. The method of claim 55 , wherein the method further comprises administering a compound selected from the group consisting of acetylsalicylic acid, heparin, and clopidogrel.

. The method of claim 54 , wherein the method further comprises administering a glycoprotein IIb/IIIa antagonist, a P-selectin antagonist, a thrombin inhibitor, or a thrombolytic enzyme.

. The method of claim 55 , wherein the method further comprises administering a glycoprotein IIb/IIIa antagonist, a P-selectin antagonist, a thrombin inhibitor, or a thrombolytic enzyme.

. The method of claim 54 , wherein the subject is a mammal.

. The method of claim 55 , wherein the subject is a mammal.

. The method of claim 54 , wherein the subject is human.

. The method of claim 55 , wherein the subject is human.

. The method of claim 54 , wherein the polypeptide is a dimer.

. The method of claim 55 , wherein the polypeptide is a dimer.
