Double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet and process of producing the same

Abstract

The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet is a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet containing a support having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the both surfaces thereof, characterized in that the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet has a total thickness including the thickness of the support and the two pressure-sensitive adhesive layers formed on the both surfaces of the support of 0.003 mm or more and less than 0.03 mm and a breaking strength of from 2 to 26 MPa/10 mm-width. The support preferably has a thickness of from 0.002 to 0.012 mm. As the support, plastic films (especially, a polyethylene terephthalate film) are suitable. The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet may have a length of 5 m or more and have a roll-wound form.

       12 . A double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet comprising a support having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the both surfaces thereof,
 the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprising an acrylic polymer containing C 1-20  alkyl (meth)acrylate as a monomer major component,   wherein the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet has a total thickness including the thickness of the support and the two pressure-sensitive adhesive layers formed on the both surfaces of the support of 0.003 mm or more and less than 0.03 mm, and   wherein the two pressure-sensitive adhesive layers each have a thickness of 0.0005 to 0.0275 mm.   
   
   
       13 . The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet according to  claim 12 , wherein the support has a thickness of from 0.002 to 0.012 mm. 
   
   
       14 . The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet according to  claim 12 , wherein the support is a plastic film. 
   
   
       15 . The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet according to  claim 14 , wherein the support is a polyethylene terephthalate film. 
   
   
       16 . The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet according to  claim 12 , wherein the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet has a length of 5 m or more and has a roll-wound form. 
   
   
       17 . The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape according to  claim 12 , further comprising a release liner on at least one of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layers at a side of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer opposite to the support. 
   
   
       18 . The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet according to  claim 12 , wherein the thickness of the two pressure-sensitive adhesive layers are the same. 
   
   
       19 . The double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or sheet according to  claim 12 , wherein the thickness of the two pressure-sensitive adhesive layer are different.
