Abstract

A plasma display apparatus and a method of manufacturing a plasma display apparatus are provided. According to the invention, the accuracy of alignment of the plasma display apparatus is improved. A plasma display apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a plasma display panel for producing images and a chassis to which the plasma display panel is attached. The plasma display panel comprises at least one aligning mark and is attached to a first surface of the chassis. The chassis comprises at least one aligning hole corresponding in position to the position of the aligning mark on the plasma display panel. The chassis comprises aluminum and an anti-reflective material. The anti-reflective material is present in the chassis in an amount ranging from about 12 to about 26 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight aluminum.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A plasma display apparatus comprising:
a plasma display panel comprising at least one aligning mark; and a chassis having first and second surfaces, the chassis comprising at least one aligning hole corresponding in position to a position of the at least one aligning mark on the plasma display panel, wherein the plasma display panel is attached to the first surface of the chassis, the chassis comprising aluminum as a main component and an anti-reflective material.

2 . The plasma display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the anti-reflective material is selected from the group consisting of silicon, zinc, copper and mixtures thereof.

3 . The plasma display apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the anti-reflective material comprises at least two materials selected from the group consisting of silicon, zinc and copper.

4 . The plasma display apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the chassis comprises aluminum and the anti-reflective material comprises silicon in an amount ranging from about 10 to about 18 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight aluminum.

5 . The plasma display apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the chassis comprises aluminum and the anti-reflective material comprises zinc in an amount ranging from about 0 to about 4 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight aluminum.

6 . The plasma display apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the chassis comprises aluminum and the anti-reflective material comprises copper in an amount ranging from about 2 to about 4 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight aluminum.

7 . The plasma display apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the chassis comprises aluminum and the anti-reflective material comprises:
silicon in an amount ranging from about 10 to about 18 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight aluminum; zinc in an amount ranging from about 0 to about 4 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight aluminum; and copper in an amount ranging from about 2 to about 4 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight aluminum.

8 . The plasma display apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the chassis further comprises:
magnesium in an amount less than about 0.2 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight aluminum; and iron in an amount less than about 1.5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight aluminum.

9 . The plasma display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the chassis comprises electrogalvanized iron.

10 . The plasma display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the reflexibility of the chassis is less than about 45%.
