Abstract

The invention relates to a process for the granulation of an animal feedstuffs additive comprising amino acids or vitamins in a circulating fluidized bed, wherein the additive is preferably a fermentation product and optionally comprises further constituents from the fermentation broth.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
- 20 . (canceled)

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive comprising L-threonine in an amount of from about 40 to about 100% weight.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 21 , comprising L-threonine in an amount of from about 80 to about 100 wt %.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 21 , wherein said granules are substantially spherical.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 21 , wherein said granules have an average particle size of 0.1 to 2.0 mm.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 21 , wherein 95% of said granules have a diameter in the range between 0.1 and 1.2 mm.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 21 , wherein 95% of said granules have a diameter in the range between 0.3 and 0.8 mm.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 21 , wherein 95% of said granules have a diameter in the range between 0.5 and 1.2 mm.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 21 , wherein said L-threonine is produced by fermentation.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 28 , wherein said L-threonine is produced by Escherichia coli fermentation.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 28 , wherein said L-threonine is produced by Corynebacterium fermentation.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 28 , wherein said granules comprise up to 20 wt % of a fermentation biomass.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 28 , wherein said granules comprise up to 10 wt % of a fermentation biomass.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 28 , wherein said granules comprise up to 5 wt % of a fermentation biomass.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 21 , wherein said granules comprise substantially pure L-threonine.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 21 , wherein said granules comprise L-threonine of up to 99.5% purity.

. A granulated animal feedstuffs additive, according to claim 21 , wherein said granules have a bulk density of from about 600 to about 70 kg/m 3 .
