Abstract
A method and apparatus for setting TuneAwayStatus in an Open state is provided, the method comprising determining if a tune away schedule is in TuneAway state, setting a TunedAwayStatus to ‘1’, determining a QuickChannelInfo block that is missed during the time spent with TunedAwayStatus being ‘1’ and setting a QuickChannelInfoMissed timer to expire at the end of the first frame to follow the next QuickChannelInfo block.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method of setting TuneAwayStatus in an Open state in a wireless communication system, characterized in that:
determining if a tune away schedule is in a TuneAway state; setting a TunedAwayStatus to ‘1’; determining a QuickChannelInfo block that is missed during the time spent with TunedAwayStatus being ‘1’; and setting a QuickChannelInfoMissed timer to expire at the end of the first frame to follow the next QuickChannelInfo block.
2 . The method as claimed in claim 1 , characterized in that:
determining if the TunedAwayStatus changes state; and generating a TunedBack indication.
3 . The method as claimed in claim 1 , characterized in that:
determining if the TunedAwayStatus changes state; and generating a TunedAway indication.
4 . A computer readable medium including instruction stored thereon, characterized in that:
a first set of instructions for determining if a tune away schedule is in TuneAway state; a second set of instructions for setting a TunedAwayStatus to ‘1’; a third set of instructions for determining a QuickChannelInfo block that is missed during the time spent with TunedAwayStatus being ‘1’; and a forth set of instructions for setting a QuickChannelInfoMissed timer to expire at the end of the first frame to follow the next QuickChannelInfo block.
5 . An apparatus operable in a wireless communication system, characterized in that:
means for determining if a tune away schedule is in TuneAway state; means for setting a TunedAwayStatus to ‘1’; means for determining a QuickChannelInfo block that is missed during the time spent with TunedAwayStatus being ‘1’; and means for setting a QuickChannelInfoMissed timer to expire at the end of the first frame to follow the next QuickChannelInfo block.
6 . The method as claimed in claim 5 , characterized in that:
means for determining if the TunedAwayStatus changes from ‘1’ to ‘0’ and means for generating a TunedBack indication.
7 . The method as claimed in claim 5 , characterized in that:
means for determining if the TunedAwayStatus changes from ‘0’ to ‘1’; and means for generating a TunedAway indication.
8 . A method of setting TuneAwayStatus in an Open state in a wireless communication system, characterized in that:
determining if a tune away schedule is in TuneAway state; and determining if a QuickChannelInfoMissed timer is not active.
9 . The method as claimed in claim 8 , characterized in that setting a TunedAwayStatus to ‘0’.
10 . The method as claimed in claim 8 , characterized in that:
determining if the QuickChannelInfoMissed timer expires and if none of the tune away schedules is in TuneAway state; and setting TunedAwayStatus to ‘0’.
11 . The method as claimed in claim 8 , characterized in that:
determining if TunedAwayStatus changes from ‘1’ to ‘0’; and generating a TunedBack indication.
12 . The method as claimed in claim 8 , characterized in that:
determining if TunedAwayStatus changes from ‘0’ to ‘1’; and generating a TunedAway indication.
13 . A computer readable medium including instruction stored thereon, characterized in that:
a first set of instructions for determining if a tune away schedule is in TuneAway state; and a second set of instructions for determining if a QuickChannelInfoMissed timer is not active.
14 . An apparatus operable in a wireless communication system, characterized in that:
means for determining if a tune away schedule is in TuneAway state; and means for determining if a QuickChannelInfoMissed timer is not active.
15 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 14 , characterized in that means for setting a TunedAwayStatus to ‘0’.
16 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 14 , characterized in that:
means for determining if the QuickChannelInfoMissed timer expires and if none of the tune away schedules is in TuneAway state and means for setting TunedAwayStatus to ‘0’.
17 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 14 , characterized in that:
means for determining if TunedAwayStatus changes from ‘1’ to ‘0’ and means for generating a TunedBack indication.
18 . The apparatus as claimed in claim 14 , characterized in that:
means for determining if TunedAwayStatus changes from ‘0’ to ‘1’ and means for generating a TunedAway indication.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
