Compositions Comprising Nebivolol

Abstract

Nebivolol has been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such hypertension, congestive heart failure, arterial stiffness and endothelial dysfunction. The present invention features a pharmaceutical composition comprising nebivolol and at least one other active agent, wherein the at least one other active agent is a cardiovascular agent.

         37 . A composition comprising nebivolol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and valsartan or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 
     
     
         38 . The composition of  claim 37 , wherein the nebivolol or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and valsartan or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, form a single oral dosage form. 
     
     
         39 . A method of treating or preventing hypertension in a patient in need thereof, comprising administering to said patient an effective amount of nebivolol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and valsartan or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 
     
     
         40 . The method of  claim 39 , wherein the nebivolol or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and valsartan or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, are orally administered. 
     
     
         41 . The method of  claim 39 , wherein the nebivolol or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and valsartan or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, are orally administered in a single dosage form. 
     
     
         42 . The method of  claim 39 , wherein the nebivolol or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and valsartan or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, are orally administered in separate dosage forms. 
     
     
         43 . A method of treating or preventing cardiovascular disease in a patient in need thereof, comprising administering to said patient an effective amount of nebivolol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and valsartan or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. 
     
     
         44 . The method of  claim 43 , wherein the nebivolol or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and valsartan or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, are orally administered. 
     
     
         45 . The method of  claim 43 , wherein the nebivolol or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and valsartan or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, are orally administered in a single dosage form. 
     
     
         46 . The method of  claim 43 , wherein the wherein the nebivolol or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and valsartan or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, are orally administered in separate dosage forms.
