Abstract

One implementation provides a method to provide injection procedure information in an injection system. In this implementation, the method includes displaying a plurality of different injection procedure options in a user interface of said system, wherein said plurality of different injection procedure options including a cardiac procedure option and a non-cardiac procedure option. The method further includes receiving a user selection of an injection procedure from said displayed plurality of different injection procedure options, processing a default set of injection parameters based upon said selected injection procedure, and displaying said default set of injection parameters within the user interface of the system prior to an injection.

1 . A method to provide injection procedure information in an injection system, the method comprising:
 displaying a plurality of different injection procedure options in a user interface of the system, the plurality of different injection procedure options including a cardiac procedure option and a non-cardiac procedure option;   receiving a user selection of an injection procedure from the displayed plurality of different injection procedure options;   processing a default set of injection parameters based upon the selected injection procedure; and   displaying the default set of injection parameters within the user interface of the system prior to an injection.   
   
   
       2 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 performing the injection with the system using the default set of injection parameters.   
   
   
       3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein one of the default injection parameters is an injection flow rate, an injection volume, a rise time of injection flow rate, or an injection pressure of the medical fluid. 
   
   
       4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the default set of injection parameters comprise pre-defined parameters. 
   
   
       5 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the default set of injection parameters comprise parameters for a left coronary artery, a right coronary artery, or a left ventricle/aorta injection. 
   
   
       6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the default set of injection parameters comprise parameters for a pigtail, selective, or microcatheter injection. 
   
   
       7 . The method of  claim 6 , further comprising:
 receiving a user selection of an x-ray synchronization function within the user interface of the system.   
   
   
       8 . The method of  claim 6 , further comprising:
 receiving a user selection of a keep-vessel-open function within the user interface of the system.   
   
   
       9 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein processing the default set of injection parameters based upon the selected injection procedure comprises selecting the default set of injection parameters based on a user selection of a specific injection type. 
   
   
       10 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the specific injection type comprises left coronary artery, a right coronary artery, or a left ventricle/aorta injection type. 
   
   
       11 . An apparatus for use with a powered medical fluid injection system, the apparatus comprising:
 an adjustable arm having a shaft, an upper support member, and a lower support member, a first joint to couple the shaft with the lower support member, and a second joint to couple the lower support member with the upper support member;   wherein the lower support member is rotatable about a first axis with respect to the shaft using the first joint;   wherein the upper support member is rotatable about a second axis with respect to the lower support member using second joint; and   wherein the upper support member is coupled to a control panel of the powered medical fluid injection system.   
   
   
       12 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , wherein the first axis is parallel to the second axis. 
   
   
       13 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , wherein the powered medical fluid injection system comprises a contrast media injection system. 
   
   
       14 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , further comprising the control panel that is coupled to the upper support member by a mounting arm. 
   
   
       15 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , further comprising a bed clamp that is coupled to the shaft of the adjustable arm. 
   
   
       16 . The apparatus of  claim 15 , wherein the bed clamp comprises:
 a socket to receive the shaft of the adjustable arm;   a rail clip to couple the bed clamp to a rail of a patient bed; and   at least one knob to tighten or loosen the coupling between the bed clamp and the patient bed.   
   
   
       17 . The apparatus of  claim 16 , further comprising an extension arm coupled in between the socket of the bed clamp and the shaft of the adjustable arm to extend the height of the arm. 
   
   
       18 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , wherein the adjustable arm further comprises at least one clip capable of receiving a cord of the injection system. 
   
   
       19 . An adjustable clamp for use in a fluid hanger of a medical fluid delivery system, the clamp comprising:
 an upper portion having a first hole through which a shaft of the fluid hanger may pass;   a lower portion having a second hole through which the shaft of the fluid hanger may pass, the lower portion being coupled to the upper portion; and   a hook coupled to the upper portion to hold a fluid reservoir,   wherein the upper portion is movable with respect to the lower portion to allow the clamp to move bi-directionally along the shaft.   
   
   
       20 . The clamp of  claim 19 , wherein the fluid reservoir contains contrast media. 
   
   
       21 . The clamp of  claim 19 , wherein the fluid reservoir comprises a bottle. 
   
   
       22 . The clamp of  claim 19 , further comprising a wired spring that couples the upper portion to the lower portion. 
   
   
       23 . The clamp of  claim 19 , wherein the upper portion and the lower portion comprise a common component. 
   
   
       24 . The clamp of  claim 19 , wherein both the upper portion and the lower portion are made of stainless steel. 
   
   
       25 . The clamp of  claim 19 , wherein the upper portion may be manipulated by a first digit of a human hand, and wherein the lower portion may be manipulated by a second digit of the human hand. 
   
   
       26 . The clamp of  claim 19 , wherein the upper and lower portions may be manipulated by a single human hand to allow the clamp to move bi-directionally along the shaft. 
   
   
       27 . A tray assembly for use with a powered contrast media injection system, the tray assembly comprising:
 a reusable tray to be used across multiple patient procedures with the powered injection system; and   a bracket to fasten the reusable tray to an underside portion of the powered injection system and adjacent to a medical fluid reservoir that is coupled to the injection system.   
   
   
       28 . The tray assembly of  claim 27 , wherein the bracket includes an adhesive to fasten the reusable tray to the underside portion of the powered injection system. 
   
   
       29 . The tray assembly of  claim 27 , wherein the reusable tray comprises a plastic tray. 
   
   
       30 . The tray assembly of  claim 27 , wherein the reusable tray, when used, holds medical fluid or medical components used during a patient procedure.
