Use of sericin for improving feeling in use of denture

Abstract

The purpose is to prevent, ameliorate or relieve various conditions induced in the dried oral cavity or to improve the stability of a denture during use. A solution for treating a denture or a denture stabilizer comprising sericin can be used.

1 . Use of sericin for improving the feeling in use of a denture. 
   
   
       2 . Use of sericin as set forth in  claim 1 , wherein the sericin is used as a denture surface treating agent. 
   
   
       3 . Use of sericin as set forth in  claim 1 , wherein the sericin is used as a denture stabilizer. 
   
   
       4 . A denture surface treating agent containing sericin. 
   
   
       5 . A denture surface treating agent as set forth in  claim 4 , wherein the sericin is present in a dissolved state in water. 
   
   
       6 . A denture surface treating agent as set forth in  claim 4 , containing a plant extract. 
   
   
       7 . A denture surface treating agent as set forth in  claim 4 , containing a polyhydric alcohol. 
   
   
       8 . A denture surface treating agent as set forth in  claim 4 , wherein the concentration of the sericin is 0.01% to 10% by weight. 
   
   
       9 . A denture surface treating agent as set forth in  claim 6 , wherein the concentration of the plant extract is 0.001% to 10% by weight. 
   
   
       10 . A denture surface treating agent as set forth in  claim 7 , wherein the concentration of the polyhydric alcohol is 0.01% to 50% by weight. 
   
   
       11 . A denture stabilizer containing sericin. 
   
   
       12 . A denture stabilizer as set forth in  claim 11 , wherein the sericin is present within a soft solid material. 
   
   
       13 . A denture stabilizer as set forth in  claim 11  containing a thickening natural polysaccharide. 
   
   
       14 . A denture stabilizer as set forth in  claim 11 , wherein the concentration of the sericin is 0.01% to 40% by weight. 
   
   
       15 . A denture stabilizer as set forth in  claim 13 , wherein the concentration of the thickening natural polysaccharide is 0.01% to 40% by weight. 
   
   
       16 . A denture stabilizer as set forth in  claim 11 , which is gel like. 
   
   
       17 . A denture stabilizer as set forth in  claim 11 , which is sheet like. 
   
   
       18 . A denture surface treating agent as set forth in  claim 5 , containing a plant extract. 
   
   
       19 . A denture stabilizer as set forth in  claim 12  containing a thickening natural polysaccharide. 
   
   
       20 . A denture surface treating agent as set forth in  claim 18 , containing a polyhydric alcohol.
