Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus on an embroidering/stitching machine or sewing machine for applying at least one additional band-like material which can be fed to a needle by means of a feeding device, wherein a cutting device is arranged on the feeding device ( 4 ), wherein the feeding device ( 4 ) can be rotated together with the cutting device around the axis of the needle ( 6 ) by means of a drive and the cutting device is driven or can be driven by means of the drive of the presser ( 1 ).

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. An apparatus on an embroidering, stitching or sewing machine for applying at least one additional band-like material, which can be fed to a needle by means of a feed device, wherein a cutting device is arranged at the feed device, wherein the feed device can be rotated together with the cutting device, by means of a drive, around the axis of the needle, and the cutting device is driven or can be driven by means of the drive of the presser foot.

. An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the presser foot or the presser foot drive device is coupled by way of a connection means to at least one part of the cutting device.

. An apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the connection means is a band, belt, or chain.

. An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein by moving the presser foot into a specific position, the cutting device separates only the band-like material or, together with the band-like material, also the sewing thread.

. An apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein at least one spring imposes force onto the presser foot and at least one spring imposes force on a part of the cutting device in the direction of the needle plate.

. An apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the connection means are deflected around at least one deflection roller, deflection toothed wheel or wheel.

. An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the presser foot is elastically deformable in particular by pressing against the workpiece or the stitch base material.

. An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the presser or presser foot is formed from an elastic and/or spring material.

. An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the presser foot is formed by a loop manufactured from elastic and/or spring material.

. An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein by moving the presser foot in the direction of the needle plate, at least a part of the cutting device can be moved in the opposite direction, and the cutting device separates the band-like material.

. An apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the cutting device has two blades, wherein both blades together form shears and can be moved against one another.

. An apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein a blade is secured at the presser foot which interacts with a blade of the cutting device and separates the band-like material.

. An apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the blades of the cutting device are mounted such as to be capable of pivoting towards one another, wherein at least one area of a movably mounted blade part can be moved against a stop, and the cutting or sheering process can thereby be carried out.

. An apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein the stop is arranged at the stitch head.

. An apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein the stop is arranged, in particular secured, at a base part arranged such as to rotate around the axis of the needle, wherein at the base part both the presser and the cutting device are mounted such as to be movable.

. An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the feed device is mounted such as to be capable of pivoting backwards and forwards transverse to the feed direction of the band-like material, and can be driven.

. An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the band-like material is wound up onto a storage drum, which is arranged at a base part, itself arranged such as to be able to rotate around the axis of the needle, or, as an alternative, the band-like material is wound up on a stationary storage drum.

. An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein at least one blade of the cutting device can be brought into its upper position in the direction of the needle plate by the movement of the presser foot, such that the blade is located closer to the needle plate than the band-like material which is to be separated, and, by pivoting the cutting device around the axis of the needle, the band-like material can be brought above the blade.

. An apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the band-like material is a cord, wire, thread, string, roving, band, and/or chain.

. A method for the separating of a band-like material by means of a device according to claim 1 , wherein for the separating or cutting of the band-like material, the presser foot is moved in the direction of the needle plate, as a result of which the cutting device, or at least a blade, is moved in the direction of the stitch base material, as a result of which, by rotation of the base or the base part respectively, and/or moving the pantograph or trimming frame, the part of the band-like material which has not yet been secured is laid onto a blade or between the blades of the cutting device, and in that then the cutting process is initiated by moving the cutting device upwards.

. The method according to claim 20 , wherein, before the cutting process is initiated by moving the pantograph or trimming frame, further band-like material is drawn or rolled off the drum and threaded or drawn through the feed device.

. The method according to claim 20 , wherein, during the cutting process, further band-like material is drawn from the drum such that, after the separation process, sufficient band-like material lies beneath the needle to be secured to the stitch base material.
