Abstract
The invention relates to an artificial lawn, in particular an artificial grass sports field, comprising a substrate to which artificial grass fibres provided with additives are attached, which additives undergo a color change in response to an external stimulus. The object of the invention is to provide an artificial lawn as referred to in the introductory paragraph which is capable of displaying a range of colors in a simpler and more effective manner. According to the invention, the artificial grass fibres provided with an additive are attached to the substrate in the form of various groups of artificial grass fibres, each provided with a specific additive, wherein each specific additive of a group of artificial grass fibres undergoes a color change in response to a specific external stimulus. In this way a more versatile artificial lawn is realized, which can be used for various applications, and wherein a new group of artificial grass fibres can be activated to effect the color change each time by using a different, specific external stimulus.
