Cabinet-shaped piece of furniture
Abstract
A cabinet-shaped piece of furniture having a folding lid ( 2 ) with two lid parts ( 3, 4 ) which are arranged one above the other. The upper lid part ( 3 ) is pivotally hinged to the body ( 1 ) of the piece of furniture, and the lower lid part ( 4 ) is pivotally [hinged] to the upper lid part ( 3 ). The axis of rotation ( 13 ) between the two lid parts ( 3, 4 ) lies in the region of the wall thickness ( 5 ) of the lid parts ( 3, 4 ). The distance of the instantaneous centre of rotation ( 20 ) of the lower lid part ( 4 ) from the lower edge ( 16 ) of the lower lid ( 4 ), when the folding lid ( 2 ) is closed, amounts to 25% of the height (h) of the lower lid part ( 4 ).
